Post Do you have to be lucid to post to this forum?

'Cause I've been assuming you did, and so haven't been posting for the last 2.5 weeks or so. What started out as a very virulent flu has apparently run its course, but left me open to a "secondary bacterial infection in your sinuses and that ear. Sinusitis."

Easy for him to say.

Well, at least he could (and did) give me an antibiotic for this (unlike the flu, which was, of course, viral ~ and not in a good way!) ~ Amoxicillin, but that'll work for me, since I'm rarely sick and therefore rarely take antibiotics. Anything to get rid of this lingering low-grade fever and its attendant chills and aches.

ANYway, I said all that to say this: I had barely gotten started posting in the Warriors Forum when I was stricken with the flu a few weeks ago, even though I joined the forum in November, I think it was, of 2009. Part of my problem then was that I didn't know what to post, where or on what topic, so I was a little intimidated and decided to lurk before I leaped.

Thanks to my friend and mentor, I was beginning to lose my timidity just after the first of the year and had made a couple of posts into some of the threads when I was felled by this fell flu (say that three times real fast! ).

Well, I still don't know what to post, where, etc., but now if I do it wrong, I can charge it off to the lingering effects of high fever and delirium (imagine my disappointment when, after the fever went down, I discovered there wasn't really a portal to Pandora in the coat closet under the stairs!), and I understand that if I post something in the wrong place the moderators will move it for me to the proper place.

Excellent, guys, and thanks in advance.

I'm a writer, by the way, among other things, and interested in WAY too many topics, but I'm trying to scale it back ~ at least in these threads, and at least until I figure out my way around. Got some good advice for navigating these waters? I'll be glad to hear it.

So, to paraphrase the little girl in those spooky Poltergeist movies: I'm baaaaack! Hope you're as glad to see me as I am to be here.

Ta!

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca. I don't remember you from before, so let me say, welcome to the forum! It sounds like you are on the mend. Plug on in!

What to write? Let's eavesdrop on Alice:

The White Rabbit put on his spectacles. "Where shall I begin, please your Majesty?" he asked.
"Begin at the beginning," the King said gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop."

Need to get some focus? I recommend you join in the Lead the Field thread here in Mind Warriors. The original is available at nightingale.com, or if you need to save money after buying tissues, Amazon has used sets available. (Just be sure you get all the audios.)

You could also post about your online business experience so far, your goals, approaches you've tried or are considering, software you like or need, etc. Jump on in.

Have you READ many of the threads around here?

Lucidity is suggested but clearly not a requirement.

Glad you're feeling better - I have dealt with sinusitis and it's not fun.

Rebecca -

A few weeks ago I was posting with a concussion and couldn't understand why things looked weird, etc. Two weeks after I whammed my head the doctor said I had been suffering from a "reduced level of consciousness".

So what else is new?

If you are too lucid, this place won't always make sense. Glad you're feeling better.

Lucid? You mean, loosed. Right? Or lost?

Yes, it's cool to post if you're lost. We don't care.

You don't have to like or love everything or everyone, not in the usual sense. Injustices and villains always abound during primitive times. You knew this would be true before you chose this life, just as you knew that the good and the beauty would far exceed the bad and the ugly.
Go where you're drawn, and dwell upon all that is good. ~ Mike Dooley

Kay ~ I know just what you mean! I've been feverish enough to be indecisive, confused, and distracted ~ and nobody noticed the difference! ;-)

Thanks for the good wishes ~ and I hope you're feeling much better now, too!

Hi Ken ~ that's very reassuring ~ and it sounds like even if I'm lost, I won't be alone, eh? ;-)

Hey Tina, welcome to the Forum!
Just hop into the conversations. There's always something new goin on so don't worry if you say something that people don't agree with.
I'm sure I've looked stupid more than twice since I've been here but I'm still postin away
Just have fun and get into the mix,
Aaryn
