Hi Fellow Mind Warriors, We each have our strength and weakness. Recently I heard someone quote from Rich Schefren during a webinar that goes something like that... "Is NOT our traits but our constraints that will determine our success." It kind of hit me and made me realize why I had not been able to launch my dream in the IM. My biggest constraint is my tendency to to get things perfect before moving on to the next step AND believing that I could get them done ALL by myself. This had somehow made me progress so little for the pass few years. I finally decided to throw away all my burdens and focus on measurable actions even if the result is not as perfect as I wish I could. I begun with registering a domain using my own name This is something I had avoided for years, is actually me hiding my feeling of inadequacy behind some clever domain names. I started a blog with that domain and relaunch my IM dreams from just who I really am and what I really feel and think. No much traffic and little to promote til now but did received some encouragement from other IM's friends. The thing is I feel rather different this time.I feel good even if I am tired. I no longer feel fear of failing. Because even if I fail miserably this time round, I will never regret cause I had started something from who I really am and my deepest intention is to contribute myself and earning money from it and not the other way round. I had shared my story on one of my Biggest Constraint I overcome for my IM journey. What's yours? Have you overcome them? If yes, how? If no, what do you plan to overcome it? Share with me...I will LOVE to hear them. Cheers Jason Ser |

I have enough time and effort/energy to invest into IM. But I find it really hard to prioritize and plan them effectively.

Well, I would say I overcame one today. I actually figured out how to upload my very own website today. I am so proud. Another is the ability to push myself through anything. I have Multiple Sclerosis so sometimes when I have to be on certain medications it is very hard for me to concentrate. I also have a problem forgetting things and finding the right words (which makes it sometimes difficult to write articles). This is why it has taken me sooo long to make this IM thing work. But I don't care if it takes me 5 years, I will make it happen. |

Hi jamie ( If it is ok I call you with this name.) Thank you for sharing. I can also remember the time when I uploaded my 1st site. Although it may seems to be "nothing" to a lot of others IMers, but during that time, I felt so great. I think it is event more significant for you from your condition. As for your writing....I have one advise for you....KEEP WRITING! Let it flow out to you and forget about using the right words for a start. Because you can always goes back later and rephrase if you want. But KEEP WRITING til you feel the flow in you, if you know what I mean. Let's encourage each other from here onwards, if you choose to accept. |
