Default My First $1,000,000 Day.

Was it easy?
Did I do it reading a book?
Did I do it using some Niche Finding Software?
Did I do it writing articles and bootstrapping for success?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The answer to all the above is NO, and I'm sure you saw that hook coming.In this post I will explain how I got to $1,000,000.

How to develop a team, an idea, and put it all together.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Today marks my first $1,000,000 dollar day. This post is intended to show that if you take your Internet Marketing knowledge and then mix it with good business practices, blend it with a good idea, and pour it into a team of great minds, success is truly not that far away.

For those that know me, know that I dabble with a lot of investments and start-up companies. Today I received a call from one of my business partners that we just signed on a $1M angel investor deal.

So, yes, I don't have the $1M in my hand, in fact I don't actually see $1M, I only own 15% of the company that it's investment is apart of.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So the question is, how do you come up with a million dollar idea?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

First you need a few things:

- A Mastermind Group
- A Need
- A Plan
- Initial Prototype
- Investors

The Master Mind Group

You create this through forums like this. Through Networking at Seminars, through coffee shops, through business cards, through any means necessary to get your mind matched with liked minded business individuals.

- Meet with this group at least once a month to discuss possible business ideas, you NEVER jump on the first idea, analyze each one, look to see where they will fail not where they will be successful.

Finding A Need

If your main platform of business is going to be the Internet, everything you do should be written down. Then questioned. How can I make this process more efficient with technology.

An example,

Your Local Flower shop wants to increase it's business. It's competitors are rocking the local area in market share. To change this up, your local flower shop tests out some technology.

Make it possible for the locals to have a mobile application to order flowers on demand specifically from the local flower shop. It's a free app for the consumer, creates better customer satisfaction and more revenue for the flower shop.

Charge a license on the technology, and expand to more local areas.

There are 15 flower shops in my 15 mile radius, at a low price of $1,000/yr to license, this small venture makes $15,000 a year.

Add the team that you have to expand nationwide. Your company makes $150,000 a year, build and explode.

A Plan

There is no sure way to make a plan, use your knowledge of Internet Marketing, business, and the team to construct an action plan to pursue.

A Prototype

Since you have a team involved, it's time for everyone to ante up for the prototype. If you were by yourself, $5,000 to create the technology could be quite an investment, but with 5-10 people, it's now split amongst you. The risk is split, and it's easier to get your prototype created.

Investors

- 1st Seed -

Your Friends and Family.

- 2nd Seed -

Angel Investors

- 3rd Seed -

Venture Capital

With a prototype in hand + plus a plan + you can start by joining a few business plan competitions to start grabbing more funds, usually rewards are between $5,000-$10,000.

Also start with friends and family.

When your ready to speak to Angel Investors all that matters is that initial executive plan, you have two minutes to catch any attention.

In our case...

Our two minute pitch started with:

Our company started with a $5,000 prototype, and now earns $150,000/yr in one location, we want to now expand into more markets with our On Demand Mobile Flower Solution.

Angels are typically rich people.

They get rich by seeding start-up cash in efforts that the company will hit big. In most cases, they see one or two successes out of every 10, and usually invest between $150k-$1.5M

They want to see potential. With just a plan, no prototype, no statistics, no numbers you can forget ever seeing the big check.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The above example is not our business idea but is used to simulate how this all kind of works, if you have detail questions be sure to ask and I will do my best with them, but due to the nature of my arrangement I will not release the idea or discuss the niche we operate in.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I hope this all inspires you to think big.

NYC is my home.

I feel snookered..

You had your first "million dollar loan" day..

You then make excuses, after all, you DO NOT have the money, AND you only own 15%
of the company that is being lent $1mm. So in reality, you had your first $150,000 loan day.

Pardon for sounding skeptical, but reading this post was a waste of my time.

This is NOT like the John Reese "Million Dollar Day", but it sure sounded like it.

Congratulations!
As a former CFO for a start up company I know it is really hard to get $1,000,000 in angel money. That is quite an accomplishment!
Plus you give some great advice.

Your missing the whole point!!!!!! There are no excuses dumbass. But there is a valuable lesson here he took an Idea, and then took action = results period!
He just gave you a blueprint for success that with time and commitment you could copy.
The Angel Investor did not loan them the money but invested his money in a company he saw a potential for growth in.
Look up the definitions for both Loan and Investment and you'll see the difference.
The fact that he only owns 15% is irrelevant the fact of the matter is that he and his partners built a company that received a $1,000,000.00 check! So yes he can claim a 1,000,000.00 day
opportunities are in front if us everyday success depends on how we act upon them.

lol Todd, are you 14?

I'm not "as impressed" with the OPs ability to raise a million dollars, as I would have been reading about his "first million dollar day" as the headline suggested. To me, the headline suggested that the OP had a million dollars in sales, or profit, on one day.

That's all I said, "mentoree", to get your panties all tied up in a wad.

PS - climbing into bed with a million dollar VC isn't everyone's idea of "making it" or getting excited. Some would consider this a big risk, and potentially something to avoid, even people that may be more successful than your mentor.

Chill out!

Hey, I appreciate all your comments. keweus, I apologize for misinforming you on the headline. But I stand by my right to still claim it is my first million dollar day. Hey, John Reese did it. One Million in 24 hours. But, what was not said is that he had to pay out an army of affiliates and that there were months of setup and logistics ahead of the one "24 hour day".

But the way I see it if you got me here to read that is good marketing to begin with....how you keep me is another story.

I say if you inspire someone to be more creative in their marketing and break the cookie cutter mentality then it's worth a Million!

Indeed.

Alot of us Marketers and Entrepreneurs tend to be on the Lone Maverick side...but creating a team adds leverage and alot more can sometimes be accomplished.

Hopefully, without added drama and a little legal forsight for protection.

Tonio, failure creates success(not the other way around) and failure is only failure if that's what you choose it to be the result...setting realistic goals is for childish people....realistic goals are surpassed through unrealistic goals anyways.....and I don't see drawbacks as failures. That's just silly. "failures" or in successful terms obstacles are there to show you how to refine your success...nothing else....unless you actually like failure and choose to live in it....that's your choice though...but seriously, don't go around preaching failure in someone's thread when he got his first million dollar day. That's just incredibly inconsiderate. Get over failure or you can live in it for the rest of your life dude....it's your choice if DECIDE to fail but don't be preaching it to other people....it only hurts....it does NO(zero) good....there's no such thing as failure unless you like to roll over and die every time you encounter a problem.

And LMC created 1M in profits for his business....get over it. If I created 150K personally in one day, I'd be pretty pumped....especially when taking into account the value I gave to my company.

Great job and congrats LMC. I love the information you gave out...thanks for sharing some of the foundations of your business. We all truly appreciate it!

I just had to click on this one. All I can say is congrats man, that's a huge payday.

Kinda interesting how you did it too - Not something I'd be interested in doing myself at the moment, but to each his own.

I know it's a cliche but anybody can do anything if they want it bad enough and set their mind to it.

Congrats again,

Jake, It's such a cliche because it's the only truth we have in this world lol

We all make our own realities and this makes up our reality.

Great job! I look forward to my first millionaire dollar day. Heck, I'd be happy with a millionaire dollar year in my pocket.

Hey,

Thanks again for all the comments.

The only advice I can give to you is look at your idea, and analyze all the failures, all the possible ways that you will fail.

Minimize those failures.

NYC is my home.

It is a progress from learning and repeating

My 1st signup
My 1st dollars
My 1st 100 dollars
My 1st 1 dollar per day
My 1st 100 dollars per day
My 1st 1,000, 10,000 and so on.

Of course it was hard work preparing and getting ready. But the day is execution of all that was learned earlier.

Now some of us are there and some of us are moving there...

Keep failing forward. Be prepared to fail. If you expect a million dollar day and you only reached 990,000.- did you fail or will you do it all over?

Michael

The point here is that LMC is happy about his accomplishments and he would like to share it with us. Thanks for sharing it with us LMC! reading positive post helps motivates me to continue my quest to become multi-millionaire (if you havent notice from my sn name..Lol)

Great job man.

This really is an inspiration. Of course you didn't do it by reading a book or anything, the path is in the doing, and this is really an excellent ideia. I've always wanted to start a mastermind group myself.

My fingers are for hire.
