1. Plan to do at least 3-5 important things for your business everyday and write them out the night before. 2. Do not turn on the computer without knowing exactly what you're about to work on and how long it should take. This sounds really simple, but it forces you to take action. Especially with all the distractions on the net and everyone trying to get your attention. Give it a try for 30 days straight - I bet you can't do it. |

It's important to write down your tasks and tick them off as you complete them. When you get an idea/task, the first thing you should do is write it down! You are more likely to follow through if you see it on the page.

Ron, would you believe that after 7 years plus, I still have a spreadsheet that I refer to that has all my tasks for each day? I should probably make a screen print of it to show folks. Then they'd know how I get so much done everyday. |

That is definitely wisdom Ron. I have struggled with focus in the past and taking that approach certainly does make a difference.

Here in the office... We have "The Strategy Board" It is the size of a wall on one side, and split into two sections: Daily Maintenance and To-Do Tasks For The Day Each side is jam packed with stuff... the maintenance stuff is regular things that we need to get done, or outsource each day. The To-Do side is updated every evening ready for the next day. If any of us come into the office on a weekend and the To-Do side is empty.. we alost always goof off all day. A to-do list in one way or another is a vitally important business building tool, in my opinion. Peace Jay |
