Arrow What Drives You?

I'm sure you have done this at some time in your life.

You have either seen on television or read in a paper
or may have even been told of a real tear jerking
story of a very disabled or injured child and thought
"what am I whinging about in my life."

I know I have, but why must we wait until we see something
like that to make us appreciate our life and what we do have.

For me, every day that I can get out of bed and see
myself in the mirror is a bonus . . . in fact I even say to
myself "it's great to see you."

So what drives me is knowing I have a choice, that I
also have the knowledge to do whatever I choose and that
I can make a difference every day.

How about you?

What drives me...it's an easy question to ask but not easy to answer, Steve. I'm driven by many things, some of which are very personal and go back many years. So, I'm going to fudge a little and give an answer that has many of my driving forces hidden within it.

What drives me is . . . a lifelong quest for personal evolution.

That's a tough question... I guess it depends a lot on where you're at in life. For me, well.. I'm 24, living with my mom and sister. What drives me right now is the pursue of independency, of being able to provide not only for me but for the ones I care about. Is being able to take on more responsibility, and not freak out. =)

I feel you Selena...somehow what I percieve as a problem/challenge is always a huge energy resource for the drive I need to go forward.

Getting health insurance. My wife had a baby 18 months ago and luckily we had insurance. When I lost my job there went my insurance. Ever since then that was the motivation for getting on track. Of course one day I'd love a ferrari but right now that is so far away from my head.

Well some days my life seems magical, that's what drives me It's those good days, and all those good times that really make me motivated. And all the effort I put myself through, that's really cool. My mom actually thinks I have ADD since I don't concentrate on stuff... It's really because I don't give a crap about anything else besides marketing. So I think she has an effect on me like that, and motivates me to work harder.

I totally agree! I read somewhere (here on the Warrior Forum) a suggestion that you visualize your long term goals, write them down and all. As a motivation, every now and then, you should think "what am I doing right now to make that happen?".

That usually gives me the "energy resource" that I need to get things going.

That is simple and I'm sorry if it seems vague or shrouded in mystery, but I and other important ones in my life know the meaning clearly!

What drives me is that which resides in my heart!

what's driving me is my level of awareness...I'm in a transition stage to wholeness so the concept of action is my fundamental driver now. That drive of connection and wholeness I guess is what's creating my action...

At that point it's contribution....that's been my #1 driver in life from the start...I think it's why I've evolved so rapidly.
