| My favorite and most effective clearing technique is something I learned from reading Joe Vitale's "Spiritual Marketing". I take 2 pieces of notebook paper, and on the 1st one I write exactly how my life is that moment that I want clarity. On the 2nd I write exactly how I want my life to be, but I add a twist to it. For example, if on the 1st page I write, "I have a terrible headache". On page 2, I would write, "I am so happy and grateful now that my head feels clear so I am able to focus on the work I am doing." Then I shred the 1st piece of paper and keep the 2nd one in a folder so when I need to get clear I can pull it out and it helps me to stay clear as well as focus.

I personally feel that expressing my feelings are the best way to clear them out of my head. This can be done in numerous ways, but one of my favorite is writing poetry. When I am very upset about something, or my mind is being constantly nagged, I just write. The words flow from my finger tips into a notepad doc and all that energy is transferred into a piece for myself to reflect upon, and then move on from. Poetry is just one form though, and I feel that having a source to disclose your thoughts to so that you can personally go over and consider the thoughts that you've said out loud helps you to clear your mind of the clutter and get you on the correct task @ hand.

Writing, as Devin T suggested, is a very good method. Whenever we have a nagging thought it helps if we write it down, bring it out to the light of day where it can be examined and dealt with - later if necessary. That helps to stop it from constantly pestering us. There is some danger in "clearing away negative beliefs" that is worth considering. Firstly, spending a lot of time attending to negative thoughts can mean energy is being invested in those thoughts and that becomes the focus of attention. Some of the most problem-focused people I know spend huge amounts of time wrestling with beliefs. Secondly, a belief is only a persistent thought and it can be sufficient to simply replace it with a better-feeling thought that moves us forward. For instance, the notion: "I'm desperately poor and don't have enough money to pay the bills" When searching for an acceptable better-feeling thought you might find something like this offers relief: "I'm fit and healthy and I should be able to get some part-time work that will make things so much easier." That is a short term measure which helps to shift your attention in the right direction. By continuing to look for relief, a further thought that is acceptable comes to mind: "If I get a couple of part-time jobs, I will be able to cope until I find a job that I like which offers full-time work." These thoughts don't offer immediate success but they do offer relief and release from the negativity. That relief is in a positive direction, frees you to see other possibilities, and allows you to start moving towards larger goals of greater abundance. Thirdly, although not strictly a negative thought, paying a lot of attention to PROCESS can be a hindrance. With this in mind, it's worthwhile being clear about and constantly reminded of the major goal. For instance, if you dream of being CEO of a substantial, prosperous organization and you frequently remind yourself of the corporate ladder and the steps which have to be followed along a career path to the top - scaling that ladder becomes your focus and other options for progress are closed off. I doubt whether Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or the founders of Google allowed the process (or the corporate ladder) to supplant their major vision. The process is not the end result. If you want a Rolls Royce don't become lovingly attached to the means. By not being fixated on a particular path, other, more likely paths, may appear. The same naturally applies in relationships and other areas of our lives. When a warm, loving long-term relationship is desired and we become fixated on a particular person as the means to achieving that, we have to ask ourselves: "What is it that I REALLY want?" Ivan |

Hi there- Some of my favorite ways to clear limiting beliefs come from NLP (neuro linguistics programming). Here are some of the underlying elements: 1. Identify the positive purpose of holding that belief 2. Ask yourself if the belief is aligned with your values? 3. Ask is it always true for you? Always true for others? 4. Then paint your future if you continue holding on to that belief. 5. Then paint a new more compelling future having let go of the belief. 6. Ask yourself what new empowering belief would you need to hold in order to get that new compelling future. Also, make sure it's aligned with your values and that it incorporates the positive purpose of the old belief. Hope that helps! Silvia |

Fresh Air Deep Breathing is my most frequently used way for me to clear my mind. For me, It's best done in the morning when the sun is rising and the ambience is peaceful (before the loud muscle cars in my neighborhood start to rev up). Chirping bird and distant highway traffic usually does the trick for me. During the exercise, I release alot of negative energy and when I'm done, it's much easier for positive thoughts to flow into my mind. |

Hi Coach Mike, I love EFT and use it all the time. I also like NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). There is a good two audio set called "NLP The New Technology of Achievement" that gives a good overview of this technology. It was created by NLP Comprehensive. It has actual exercises for some things. The technology was developed by Richard Bandler and has been around for a while. If you can't find these particular audio tapes, there are many others out there. Beth Freeman |

I practise EFT and the Sedona method. Recently I also experimented with Hoopono pono (correct spelling?) and found that the phrases really did have an effect on me. But I find that prayer works best - not in the sense that I DO get what I pray for 100% of the time - but that I usually just pray for strength, patience and wisdom to understand and overcome whatever is bothering me right now. Just don't ask me what specific prayers I say or which deity I pray to, it's entirely a personal affair for everyone of us. |

once i see first little signs of success, eg. the first sales with a product, or a nice design/cover i made and like....everything clears up automatically and i get more and more confident and i believe in the success. No need to "clear up" negative thoughts. The rest is just "a matter of time".

Hi, I use ho'oponopono too and talk to my "inner child a lot", I also realize that I need to come from love and not judgement, and be stuck in memories. I also drink a lot of water and try to live in the present. Joe Vitale has helped me on my path by many of his great books. |

Hi Coach Mike, My favorite technique is something I developed on my own- however there are a great many techniques. I call it the Phase Shifting Technique. Here's the short version... I think of the person I am now and the person I am trying to become by using the principles of LOA and I ask myself, "What would he do". He would never say something bad about someone else, never let the past hold him back, think negatively, etc(fill in the blank with your present pitfall). The goal is to always look in the forward direction to the new you that your are morphing towards because as we already know- the LOA takes time to become a way of life and change is hard. Maybe that's why at first it takes constant work until it becomes a real thing. After catching yourself a few times thinking negatively it starts to become like a little switch in your head that says,"Hey where did these thoughts come from- see ya... They say people don't change but I think change is possible thru LOA and it can and will shift a true beliver to a completely new path and life. PS- this is just a little trick for those already familiar with LOA. Second Method This method I also developed on my own with a little help from a Gypsy I met many years ago- however there are a great proven techniques already covered on this thread. I call it Oracle. Has to do with candle magic and I have only told a few people about it. |

I try not to see things as problems more as stepping stones in this way I try to use them as learning tools and endeavour to discover what I need to know to take another step forward. One technique I was taught was to take a self help book (whichever you like) and ask out loud "what do I need to know today", open the book and read where it opens. There'll always be relevance to the text. Another method I was taught was simply called "find the feeling". You take an inner search for whatever is troubling you and study it. It can manifest anywhere in the body and can move around. But it has to be done via feeling it's not intuitive. When you lose it find it again. Practicing this method on a regular basis will eventually remove any issues you may be struggling with. I also meditate. Currently I'm awakening kundalini, the more I use it the better it gets. Tim. | |

Clearing techniques imply that there is some kind of "blockage"... usually in the form of negative emotion and attachment. The trick is to learn the lesson and drop the attachment. All of the techniques described provide a format/ritual for doing that - you focus on the blockage/emotion and then have some controlled way to experience some of it and release. If you are really good, then you can get through it quickly. The FASTEST CLEARING TECHNIQUE is also the most difficult - experience the emotional energy openly. This is the warrior's forum, so I assume many will be courageous enough to try. 1) Determine which blockage or negative emotion you wish to clear. 2) Set the intention that you will feel AND learn what you need, no matter what temporary pain you encounter. 3) Get yourself in a receptive state with some relaxation or mediation techniques. 4) "Pull up" the blockage or emotion (usually by reliving some event) 5) DROP THE STORY - this is critical. Once you have activated the emotion, you must drop the story and simply focus your awareness on what you are feeling. Dive into the feeling, and open yourself to it. By experiencing the repressed or "frozen" emotions, you are actively allowing them to flow and clear. Just remember to focus on the feeling, and avoid the story... the story is an ego trap to avoid feeling pain (and creates blockages) The process can be greatly facilitated by Divine Openings... pm if you are interested in more details. |

i have 2 favorite clearing techniques... the first is for me the most powerful, and the second has also been very helpful: 1. thework.com (questioning negative thoughts using a process of questions- byron katie came up with this method) 2. the release technique/the sedona method by lester levenson both are really powerful methods for getting rid of stressful/limiting thoughts. rebecca |

I've used EFT, ho'oponopono, Matrix Energetics, just to name a few. But recently I've discovered Access Energy Transformation and have released more garbage in the last 4 months than in over 20 years. One of the main clearing statements that is part of that is "all life comes to me with ease, joy and glory" said 10 times morning and evening, and any time in between if you like. Shirley |

I've used most of the techniques and I honestly don't know which I believe to be the most effective for me. The ones I'm most consistent with are journaling, which I do every day, and a variation of ho'oponopono. So I suppose those are my main clearing techniques. I've also been using Asara Lovejoy's One Command lately, and although it's not a clearing technique per se, I'm finding it to have a similar benefit. Warren |

A lot of great posts in this thread! Of course Meditation is my number 1. I like to cheat, and use meditative aids (such as BrainEV or Hemi-Sync) to reach that state of clear much faster. Exercise is another great method. Lastly, I use a technique that is private to me... something I probably can not explain here, but I reach a state where I realize that physicality is an illusion of my own making and as such I reclaim misplaced power. |

I'm also a big fan of Ho'oponopono. Also from the Hawaiian tradition, the Higher Self Connection is extremely powerful and using the two techniques together is literally mind-blowing. Of course best enjoyed under a Hawaiian sunset! Regards Robert |
