Default Making money... a piece of cake?

I heard John Reese saying that (it was something like: "for me, making money is a piece of cake") in a video I watched the other day, when he talks about his story and background, and now that I think about it, I realise it is mostly like that for successful people, who get paid for doing what they love... And in case they want to make some more money, they just have to do some more of what they love.

Take for example basketball players, marketers, singers...

So what I would like to ask you... what do you think is needed to reach that point? Mindset? Knowledge?...

Thanks for your insights!

Loving what you do is always important, but it is not the only thing. You have to get focused and then committed to your goal. By "committed," I mean that you should get some work done on it every day, as if that was a regular job.

You also have to acknowledge the times that the work won't be fun. But you'll have to get your drive back and re-commit yourself for the long haul. You will see results. Don't be like the gold miner who gave up too soon. Had he persisted, he would have surely hit pay dirt. But nothing seemed to be happening anyway at the moment and he gave in and quit. All of his efforts were in vain.

yeah i guess all millionaires would say that.... Kind of like Johnny Depp saying "pulling stunning women in bars is dead easy...." as we mortals wince with jealousy :-)

1st. You MUST have the mindset.

It's just...you hear about it all the time that it starts from the inside
out, and I KNOW this to be true. It can not be any other way. If by
some chance you do become a millionaire without the inner work to
support it -- you will lose it.

2nd. A skillset or system in place

You need a channel to mimick how you feel to reach your goals. A
system or your skillsets is the channel you tune into to recieve what
you feel you are worth or what you want in life.'

You can not use a system that will make you a millionaire if you aren't
straight inside about what you want. You will find some way to sabotage
it.

So essentially they are pursuing what they like doing. Because when the enjoy their work they tend to put extra care and consideration into it right and they are also generally more happy.

Faith...you have to absolutely believe that you can achieve
whatever goal you set out to accomplish. And take
massive action. Faith doesn’t wait until “all the stars align”
to begin to work.

I think to get to that point you have to really want it - to the point where it consumes your thoughts all day, when youre constantly working towards it, and if youre not youre reading about it.... When I first started I was listening to IM podcasts walking to work and back, learning about seo and blogging, I was getting home and working 5 hours a night on my online business ideas.

This drive translates into passion for what youre doing, also keeps you strong against setbacks, and all in all totally focuses you on your goal - when you really want success and you TOTALLY IMMERSE yourself in pursuing it like this I don't see how it wouldnt happen - you are taking ACTION and learning every day and just start making real progress that has a synergy effect into all areas you are pursuing.

It really comes back to overcoming a problem. Why we are all at this forum in the first place, we want answers to a a problem. That is marketing?

I've actually written a book on overcoming obstacles in life and it really comes down to a few basic principles, 3 main in fact, that have been taught for thousands of years, have been portrayed in movies and books, like "The Secret", "The Power of Now", "The Moses Code", "What the Bleep Do We Know", "The Peaceful Warrior", and a ton more.

Bottom line is there are 7 main things that need to happen INSIDE each of use in order to overcome a problem.

They are

1. You have to CHOOSE to want to change - This is mindset. As someone said earlier, mindset is the first step to getting to where you want to be, do and have. Visualize the end result FIRST before it happens, what you Want to happen. What would cause this to NOT be a problem any more?

2. Be Open To New Ideas - If you can't put your past aside and make room for something that is not comfortable, you won't change. Have an open mind and become aware of the opportunites that are around you all the time.

3. Change your Thinking - This is the first of 3 main steps. What do you want to be, do, or have? Focus on things you want and things that bring you joy, instead of negative things, things in the past or things in the future, focus on what you want now.

4. Change your SPeaking - Once you start thinking differently, you MUST start releasiing that energy out into the world. THis will put you in tune with the vibrations of the universe, like tuning into a radio station. The one way to bridge the gap between thinking and speaking is to WRITE DOWN positive I am statements and say them outloud often. I am happy. I am attractive. I am successful. I love my body. I love my life. Thank you for all the success you have brought me. Focus on these statements for only a few minutes then - let them go. Don't dwell.

5. Change your actions - the 3rd of 3 main steps. It's not really up to figure out HOW to get what you want done, you only have to Want it and believe that you will get it. Being in tune to the universal energies will provide the HOW to you in the right time.

6. Change your BELIEFS - Focus on the past 5 steps and within about 3-4 weeks your beliefs will begin to change. You will re-program your brain to fit in line with what you want, and the universe will provide it to you as long as you are in harmony or in vibration.

7. Finally - Be grateful BEFORE you receive - Believe that success or health, or ridding your body of diseases or drugs, or happiness, or whatever is possible before. Just believe, be grateful, and then let it go. You'll get exactly what you WANT in the right time and place.

You're job is to just be happy. That the secret of life and happiness as someone pointed out - do things that make you happy and success will follow.

Awesome. And spot on!
It starts with vision. That ensures Integrity, which is key. Who You Are.
All the "make a million dollars this year" wishes are just that: wishes.
The goals that spring, spontaneously and inevitably from your true Vision, are the ones that will change your life.

John Reese operates on a very high level and a statement such as this can be an easy thing for someone like himself to make. I guarantee it wasn't always that the piece of cake for him. Just remember to follow your passion and the money will eventually come.

I disagree with John Reese. Overnight success often comes after many failed attempts............ The key is to persevere and keep learning

So true, and this is why so many people never make it because they tend to attribute success to something on the outside when what really counts is mindset and the right attitude, i.e. what's on the inside. I keep hearing people in the forum saying they can't imagine someone making $x,xxx, xxx per year or that they can't possibly do what some high achiever has done, and they're absolutely right. If you can't even see yourself doing or achieving something, chances are you won't even give it a half-hearted attempt, now would you?

there are lots of things involved in making money. the number one factor that you need to work on is getting the right course for what ever program you want to dive into. another factor is putting every thing taught in the course into practice and persist because some of those tutorials takes time to master and another factor is this, beware of those lazy marketers that put up all sought of discouragements just to put you down.

just from what i saw you write about on your title making money piece of cake yeah it is like that to some people because they have laid the foundation. another thing you have to understand about making money is that once you have laid the necessary foundations required, it will now run on autopilot.so from what i have analyzed, getting the right course, persistence, avoiding discouraging words mostly from negative critiques about a product and then reading peoples open views about a particular product you might be interested in buying for that is the only way you would know the right programs and so on. i hope you get
