Default Being Consistent and Driven

Hi All,

I'd like to say what a great forum this is. I've been a spectator on this forum for about 1 year now and have finally thought it's time to start participating/contributing to this.

Quick story on my part.

I still consider myself to be quite a newbie when it comes to IM.

Started this IM journey about 2 years ago.

Did an internet marketing course and learnt the foundations of how to create a website and use PPC to drive quick traffic.

Was selling an info product that I created - only made 2 sales in like 8 months. This would drive nearly the majority of Internet Marketing startups to stop doing it. Not me. I knew that I wanted to learn more.

Figured to try again, created a second website next and made 8 sales in 6 months. Improved slightly but again these results would drive most peple out of the IM realm.

So in about 14 months, I've made 10 sales of ebooks. Most of my traffic coming from PPC. Didn't know how to do SEO yet properly yet.

You may think from these dismal results that I would have quit already. But I knew that at least the first couple of websites was more of a learning experience than anything else.

I also knew my end goal is to be financially free and live the life I want to more than anything else. I want to especially see my children grow up and not have to put up with the 9 to 5 grind.

I've just recently developed my third website 3 months ago. Concentrating all my efforts on SEO now instead of PPC.

Made no sales yet, but I am starting to understand how SEO works to a certain extent. I have about 10 keyword phrases that I am in Page 1 of Google so far.

So after 2 years of being in this game, and making only 10 sales from 2 sites, and just recently started my third site with no sales yet, I am still confident that one day I will reach my goal.

Why? I actually love learning about internet marketing, it's fun for me. I think that is the most important thing. Otherwise it will become a chore and you will lose your passion. Also I have an end goal to be financially free and live the life I want to.

Would you mind sharing your experiences so far with IM. This is for all those people who have only made a few sales like me to the people who have actually succeeded and what they thought was the biggest hurdle in the journey was?

Thanks

Apparently, you have patience and perseverance to sustain in IM. Most would give up and work for someone else. I like your determination to make it work on IM. However, I am at loss to understand why the sales are not happening consistently? How many hits your new website is getting currently and how many are clicking your order page?

Thats all IM is all about patience, passion and playing the numbers game!

Keep on you journey to be successful an i am sure you will get there.

But remember it isnt about selling a product but to give value and build trust.

ICEcold thank you for sharing your experiences in Internet Marketing. One of the biggest reason experienced and Newbie Internet Marketers fail is that they are not consistent. Some of them will attempt 1 strategy or 2 and give up. It is very Important for Internet Marketers to take consistent action everyday to market their businesses. This will create momentum for your business.

I agree with you internet marketing must take action and move forward everyday. Must be dedicated and consistent on your plan.

The Law of the Farm:
You till the soil, plant the seed, nurture the sprouts, pray for rain and sun (and irrigate if necessary)...
But even with all that work, you can't rush the harvest. You must just be ready for the harvest when the harvest is ready.
(And don't pull up the plants to check the roots.)

That is really good that you have such great determination. It will eventually pay off with your patience. Keep working hard.
