Thinking about those who became millionaires during the Great Depression. That's what motivates me now.

The financial instability motivates me, actually. I know that if I can make enough money now...I can really clean up with the low prices of real estate stocks and pretty much everything else. We are sitting on a goldmine and I just want to work harder so I can start having that gold coming my way.

Even if you're nowhere near becoming a millionere you should still be encourages. When other people are dropping out of the game, their void must be filled. That void must be filled by someone. Why shouldn't it be you?

After 8 years in this business, my motivation comes from creativity.

I can't draw or paint. Ask my kids!

I can't write poetry or prose. Ask my old English teacher.

But I am a creative person and I can express that through software development. Doing it excites me and I get enthusiastic about sharing it which is great from the business point of view.

It's an ever-changing world of new technologies, techniques, languages and tools.

It's not boring, honest. I love it!

Cheers,

Neil

Thanks for your responses.

I especially can relate to all of them and especially the create one. I can't draw either--not to save my life but, the creative thoughts and ideas that come to my head are what keeps me going and my family.

Thanks for your posts.

Being able to work for myself in a manner that I find very appealing is basically what keeps me going. Not to mention that there is a very real possibility that I can earn way more working for myself at home then I ever did working for someone else.

This is good stuff.

Hi

The 'recession' and all the other words for it are as meaningless as 'job security'.

The ONLY way you will truly succeed is to realize that, no matter what is happening to 'the world' is irrelevant to YOU - as you alone are responsible for both your current situation - and your future one!

It's hard not to blame the economy other people for where we are sometimes (as we've been trained to do this all our lives!) - but unless you take full responsibilty then you will always be affected by what 'normal' people watch on TV.

I don't know about you - but i don't want to be 'normal' as they are the unsuccessful majority! :-)

To Our Success!

Gary

What keeps me going?

Check out my profile picture. Those boys are my life. They definitely keep me going. Also, the stretching, growing and developing relationships with like-minded individuals to help with either my or their marketing efforts.

Business is a great source of personal growth. Personal growth keeps me going as well. It's good to keep growing. I don't think I want to stop growing. Not yet. Gotta keep going.

What keeps me going is that when financial disasters like this happen I know millionaires and successful people see it as an opportunity to purchase investments at heavily discounted prices. They remain calm and have a steady resilance to hang tough knowing that things will turn around. They never panic and neither am I. It is just another market cycle and won't last forever. You just have to stay positive

Dont worry so much about the instability. The main reason that there is economic troubles is because people panic and then cause it to happen themselves. Just keep on trucking and dont put a hold on your dreams. The situation around you does not stop you from achieving our goals!

Just keep on truckin'

Time freedom is the biggest driver. Also knowing there are thousands upon thousands of people that will be coming online due to market conditions, layoffs, real estate collapse, etc. and they will all be looking for answers. There is a huge market opening up.

After having a $2mil/yr real estate bus. wiped out when hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, only to rebuild in Baltimore to have $500k profit wiped out due to one of the worst real estate markets in the past 60yrs (we're still selling properties, just not making any money) I was forced online to diversify our income.

It is probably the best thing that ever happened because the last 7-9 mos have been incredible. I've gone through a steep learning curve but now realize I can reach so many more people so much more efficiently and provide value in ways I couldn't do in real estate.

Yes, it's unsettling at times and yes it takes a while to figure it out (I'm still figuring it out) but I used to be a commercial diver working in the oilfield in the Gulf of Mexico.

I had probably half dozen times where I thought I was dead, and after coming back from those experiences every day above ground is a good day.

I focus on giving so much value out that it takes the focus off me and helps keep the fears, uncertainties, etc in check. I'm not perfect and sometimes the worry monster comes, but when I take the focus off me it's easier to focus on how I can do more for others.

Keeping this mindset will get you through any recession. Also Kiyosaki bounced back from a 1mil deficit and Trump bounced back from being down 1 bil. When adversity hits I remember those that came before us and their defining moments were what they did when hit w/ serious adversity.

This downturn has opened up my myopic thinking and in turn opened up a whole new world. Keep pushing and never quit. If you love what you do you will find the means to get to the finish line.

I'm being privately coached by an online multi-millionaire. Are You? FastrackBlueprint.com

What keeps me going is my belief that after the age of about 15 years old, once you have the basic knowledge you need to survive, it all comes down to how strong one is mentally.

A study of past greatness reveals that a willingness to learn mixed with a little mental toughness and self-discipline makes the achievement of any goal simply a matter of time.

This formula applies in ANY financial market, any job market, any life.

What keeps me going is knowing that there will always be booms and busts but that is not what counts.

As always, it is your own contribution to your life that makes the difference and not the actions of others alone.

If you have done what many marketers do not do and ensure that you have prepared your mind as well as your business plan, then at times like this, that preparation pays off.

Unfortunately, those who go into business without mind preparation, or even a start on it, tend to be the ones that get scared and nervous at times like this and pull out and go back into the workforce - therefore benefitting the likes of you and me who are strong minded enough (or as my brother would say strongfident enough) to keep going.

Don't miss out on the some of the best Internet Marketing Seminars Worldwide. Check out

What keeps me going with all the financial unstability is that since our thoughts become things, if I were to focus on the financial unstability--that is what I am going to get. Instead I focus on financial stability among other things and that is what I get. Also, being happy and grateful no matter where you are in your life, opens your heart to bring even greater things to you. Knowing there can be another way and when you get an inspiration to do something comes to you, taking massive action to achieve it, will defintely make a HUGE difference. I also believe that customer service is so very important even more so now.

I use the Tony Robbins techniques of Pain & Pleasure!

Make a list of all the painful things that will happen if you don't get into action...

Then I make a list of all the pleasurable things that will happen if I do get into action and achieve my goals!

If you make a long list and make some strong enough reasons it can get you out of the bed in the morning and get to work!

i sell products people need during tough economic times. so, sales are increasing.

i love a quote i saw at disneyworld:
"the secret of all business:
1) find out what people want or need
2) get it for them
3) charge a reasonable price"

that motivates me.

Happily married, father of two. Semi-retired and loving it. New business hobby: internet marketing!

Happiness is what keeps me going. Beautiful things this planet still has to offer..the clear sea, starry nights, my own kitchen and having a maid that cleans after me surely makes life worth living .

What keeps me going? .. many things but one of the largest things is the mere fact that there are mountains to climb, opportunities to succeed in, races to run .. coupled with a God given hunger to simply achieve and progress.

I'm actually enjoying the current financial climate, because there is a window of major opportunity opened ... ready for a transfer of wealth.

Ben And Jerry's ice cream! If I didn't have $ for it, I don't know what I would do! Therefore, that is what keeps me going

The top 5 things that keep me going!

1. My vision for what I want my life to be. I believe that we either spend our lives achieving our goals or the goals of others. It's up to us to choose.
2. An unflinching commitment - I decided long time ago that I would never give up, not matter how bad things got. And things got really bad and the only way was to keep going. When you're going through hell, keep going! Why would you want to be stuck there?
3. "When you're down, you reach for another dream." A speaker I heard said that and I remember those words always. I do believe that tough circumstances and challenges come to us to help us grow and to test our commitment to our dreams.
4. My family - I am blessed to have a loving family and I know that all they want for me is for me to live the lives of their dreams. My belief is that we are put on this Earth to live the life of our dreams. Anything less for me is to a slap in the face of my creator and a disgrace to my family.
5. The alternative. What's the alternative to living the life of our dreams? To give up and be ordinary? To live a life of "quiet desparation" secretly wanting more but being too scared to go after it. If I live to 100, and it takes me 99 years to achieve what I want to in life, then that 1 year would still make the previous 99 worth it.

Hope that helps.

I'm just glad I took the time to learn how to do Internet marketing as the company I used to work with for 17 years has been sold three times. What keeps me going is never wanting to go back to work for anyone else again.

A mixture of foolish pride, self-confidence, and determination (as usual) have kept me going. And now I'm actually stronger than ever.

What keeps me going, is the consetent Buzz on my iphone. Letting me know people are asking me questions!
Its the WebStats that I get to look at for each of my projects, going up and I realy get motivated if I see a slight drop. As its then I know that I have not been doing enough.

Hi Rob,

It is something outside of what we can control so there is no point worrying about it. Why not focus that energy into something that we can control? Such as creating a profitable business?

I'm a single mom and it is my dream to be a full time, single, stay at home mom and bring home my own bacon! I cannot fail. I have about a year to make this dream come true, so with that time line it keeps me motivated.

What keeps me going? The dreams that my wife shared with me..to own a terrace house and be able to quit her job and tend our children full-time. To achieve this dream, i have to work tirelessly to succeed in earning good money from IM!
