How To Properly Rid Yourself Of Doubt..

Hi Good People,

It's pretty normal and frequent for entrepreneurs to carry doubt at one time or another, and some carry more than most. But, as I've developed in my business career it's been pretty inspiring to see the growth evident in how I now look at a venture of old or something new I devote energy to. The worries, doubts, and self imposed fear I use to feel seems to automatically eridicate itself without me giving any thought to it. Yes, it's definately easier said than done, so I'll give you the best description as to how I've come to such a place which enables me really operate at a higher performance.

I once read a book entitled "Seasons of Life" and it was within it's pages I realized and totally fell in love with the idea of the cycles in which things happen. With such simply put, profound knowledge contained in this book. I was able to medidate and really take hold of the real lessons in it. For instance, a lot of new entrepreneurs and business owners really do little to no mental preparation for undertaking such a title. I really feel personally that the attrition of why most business fail is due to that fact. Nonetheless, I also feel it's something that is learnable and able to be adopted anytime someone chooses. Anyway, my point is that the book illustrates how any and everything falls into a season both in life and in business. Though the language used in the book to really emphasize the message is very basic. It goes much further than any philisophical style script could ever do. The basic idea that left it's mental imprint on my mind is this. Looking at every venture, situation, circumstance, I've learned that no matter the result good or bad. It will always end up being ok when it's time comes or simply it's not the season for the harvest to come for that particular situation or "thing". I've read the book probably 10x times and always find a golden nugget to further drive home it's timeless ideas. So, to sum it up..I highly suggest you pick up the book "The Seasons of Life" and really immerse yourself in it's teachings, so you can subconsciously know how to respond to anything you may have uneccessary doubt, worry, or trepidation about. By reading and totally internalizing the lessons in the book, I've been able to look at my business and life in a totally different light that most entrepreneurs don't. Unlike most, I'm sure all my good friends here already understand the language I'm writing about in this post. Well, that's my little tid bit, and I hope ya like it...

Peace & Tranquility!

PS. Pardon the errors if any..Rushing.. Tootles!

Great post fear and doubt can cripple your chances at becoming successful, in business.

If you can eliminate doubt and fear, you will be on the path to success in whatever venture you pursue.

Thanks Ktlasm,

I really enjoyed your post and searched for "Seasons of life" on Amazon, was the writer Jim Rohn? It sounds like a truly inspirational book and one that I will be adding to my collection. Is it's amazing how much fear and self-doubt can hold you back and stop you from reaching your full potential and any book that addresses these critical issues is welcome in my eyes.

It makes me think about the law of attraction where you visualise what you want and what you desire manifests when the time is right. We are all influenced by cycles and creating a new product, marketing it and profiting from it is not unlike planting a seed and watching it grow and bear fruit.

If we learn what we can from nature and apply what we've learned to our projects then our online endeavours are sure to be fruitful.

Thanks again

Rob

DEfinitely tru, my friend.
People tend to spend too much time in fear or doubt, sometimes both, without doing any good for themselves at all.
Fear is ment to be overcome, any fear should be made a challenge for you to overcome it!
Believe me, you will get so much more self confidence and self respect just by overcoming even the smallest of your fears and doubts!

Everything happens for a reason and everyone is programmed in some manner to live their life according to a plan which we are not always privileged to know or understand. The time we are born and the date has a huge bearing on what we do and become and in this sense the season of our birth is part of us. The place of our birth, the environment and the education we receive also makes us different to each other and that too is a season.

You raise some nice points. Well done.

I suggest you think back over all the successes you've had in your life up to this point.

You are already successful, you're here.

All that you currently have, you decided to acquire and accomplish, and all that you will have or become will be done in the same way.

Move forward, stumble, get up again and move forward.

My two tools for ridding myself of doubt, are communication and patience. Many times I am very doubtful about something and I just hold off for a bit and end up getting my doubt cleared away. As well, being able to effectively communicate with another will allow you to alleviate doubt.

There is a four step process which many find to be helpful in removing doubt and being able to bridge the gap between where they are now and where they'd like to be.

1. Start with present conditions. It's important to make peace with the present no matter how unpleasant those conditions may be. Establish a sense of calm and acceptance about what you are presently receiving. This helps to free your attention and you don't become fixated on what you don't want.

Since you really don't have any choice about what you are getting right now, accept it and free yourself to move on. A good mantra that can assist with this is:

"I am where I am - and that's ok!"

2. Know clearly in your mind where you want to be. The present conditions are what you DON'T want - what is it that you DO want?

3. Being alert to your feelings makes it easier to keep challenging thoughts that produce doubt. Replace each of these with a thought that you can accept which offers hope and a feeling of relief.

4. Continue to look for the "best feeling thoughts" that point you in the direction of where you want to be. These thoughts help to bridge the gap and offer a sense of relief. As you continue to look for the "best feeling thoughts" you will find yourself going with the flow of the current towards your destination - what you really want.

Trying to bridge a gap that is too wide, too soon defies credibility and creates doubt and anxiety, which hinder progress.

Looking for the "best feeling thoughts" adds momentum and confidence as you sense the relief and start to see signs that you are headed in the right direction. By continuing to find thoughts that offer relief, optimism and enthusiasm will build and you'll find yourself driven towards the outcome you desire.

The absence of fear (resistance) and the presence of positive feelings will establish conditions that carry you towards those things you want.

Ivan

believe me fear is your worst enemy. you must take a step to start a journey

Even a 100 miles walk starts with a single step. if u didnt step becoz of fear
u are leading yourself to darkness

Having doubt is a good thing in some situations. If u doubt ur self then are jackass becoz anything is possible for human beings

I will certainly get the book ... we all need a constant supply of inspiration! In case you haven't read it, the book that really turned the light on in my head and heart and inspired me into a whole new cycle of my life(seriously, since I got it, its like I'm living in a whole new world...I mean my surroundings look the same, but I am not the same. I feel a freedom to create, an empowerment, and my life seems to be falling into place deliciously)...is "You Were Born Rich" by Bob Proctor. It might not be the book for you that it was for me, but I highly recommend it. Different books hit the nerve for different people, even though it is the same message. Anyway thanks for your input.

I wish you all that you can be.
