Great thread! I'm delighted to read that a lot of people feel that anyone can start off on a shoe string budget. I have to whole heartedly agree with this. It does seem logical that having money will give us more options such as investing and purchasing what we need for our business, but we must not forget that people with the money to do that had to pay their dues and reach that point.

It's okay to start out small. Rather than waiting to receive a huge lump of money to jumpstart a business, a person can absolutely figure out what he or she can do for right now on what he or she has today. They may be pleasantly surprised at what they may find once they start poking around!

In my view it should be agreed. Money will come through money. Here Money = Time, Work and Patience. Therefore the theory of Money = Money is satisfied. We can not make clap with single hand. The same like opposite hand also required.

No money is required. Since money is just another form of energy it is possible to put energy into a project with zero dollars attached. Many may disagree but it is your mindset in regards to money. When you are in the proper mindset any action you take will result in the flow of money.

Do you have dreams?

Imagine this, you desperately want to accomplish something. There is something in your life you want so badly when thinking of it tears start rolling over your cheeks, your stomach clench and you feel you are burning inside! This could be money needed for your bills, maybe a loan installment? You want to fire your boss or you want clock alarm to be gone forever from your life?! You want all the best for your children and your partner but you can't afford it now. Maybe you would like to help your parents? Maybe you would like to travel around the world but you don't have neither money neither time to do that!

Now imagine your life has passed away and you didn't accomplish any of your dreams! How would you feel?
I would be devastated!!!

I know that if I want to make my dreams to happen there is no obstacle in this world that would take me away from accomplishing them!!! Actually I have detailed plan. I am laser focused! I know how I will achieve my dreams and I am already working to make them happen.

So would lack of money stop me to get my dreams? NO!
Would that stop you to get your dreams? I hope not!

At some point, even if someone starts with absolutely nothing, they still invest money at some point to make more money.

Let me explain. Say you are homeless and want to start a business. You find a way to earn a couple of bucks, or you scrounge around the ground looking for pennies...it doesn't matter. When you have $1 (if you're homeless in the U.S.), you either set that aside or invest it into your fledgling business. You rinse and repeat until you have $2...$4...$8, and so on. Once it's at a level to where you purchase advertising, building a customer base, more R&D, you are using money to make money.

Initially, you started with nothing, but there is a time when it takes money to make money and usually it's the moment you make one cent. This would be the difference between having a job and having a business, at least in my mind. In my mind, I'm asking myself, what am I going to invest my one cent to grow my business, versus, what am I going to buy with my one cent (to eat, wear, drive, play with...etc).

Can be true and can be false because as there were people who made money from nothing and their tools were patience, good planing and persistence on the other hand there were people who lost all their money following their dreams to make money either online or offline because they wanted to make money as fast as possible, and unfortunatly I found many scamers who call over the phone (not all of them of course) trying to sell you crapy online businesses over the phone use that line in their pitch....

I absolutely agree. I think when most people decide they want to make money online they're still looking for get rich quick schemes( which don't exist).

It's going to require investments of your time as well as investment of your finances as well so budgeting is vital to the success of your business.

Having the right mindset and positive attitude helps along with determination to achieve your goals. You don't need to come from a privileged background and lets face it, the vast majority of any population come average backgrounds without huge sums of money to waft them along.
Finding a good opportunity, researching your niche market and knowing your product/service does help!

So my answer is - yes money does normally create more money, BUT you can succeed without money and millions of people around the world do just that.

Anyone can become a millionaire or billionaire, and they can start off their journey with their different backgrounds but still can achieved the same thing. But money will definetly become a factor in the amount of challenges/problems/troubles encountered by the person on the journey to become a millionaire.

More money---A person can become a millionaire with less effort and less troubles/problems.

Less money---A person will encountered alot alot of hardship and troubles/problems during his road to success.

There are different types of people in this world. Some will hustle and work as hard as they can to make money. They will be able to make money regardless of the circumstances. These people will get up when they fail, still make money and hopefully adapt to make even more.

There are also people that think they are working hard, but they don't even put in half of what they can truly do. These people are dreamers, but they do not have the drive for success.

Others have such huge ideas that they can convince others to give them money to make these ideas into reality. As the previous poster mentioned, Google's idea was golden. Making this idea into the success it is today could not have happened without money.

Nope I do not agree with this at all. I started out with nothing. And now I am making some money each month. Granted, it is not enough to live on, but adds to my income so I can do extra things each month or have the nice things that I want. You can start out with nothing, depending on what your business is. You just have to work super hard to get where you want.

If it were true that you needed money to become wealthy, then babies who are born would come out with money in their hands as soon as they were born, and as we all know; that doesn't happen. All babies are born dirt poor. Heck they come into this world naked for crying out loud. So nobody is born rich so the whole idea that it takes money to make money is absolutely crazy.

If you possess a skill that is marketable, then you have something by which you can make money with. Many people use skills to make boatloads of cash. So if you have a skill that you can share and use for the rest of the world to benefit from, then by all means use it. You'll make money in the end.

Children get their first money from their parents through allowances and such.
Children don't hold jobs so that's the only way that they can get any money unless they have od jobs around the house which are also known as choars.

Now when it comes to the Internet and making money, you can create your own informatin products and sell them and it doesn't take any money to create e-books and such You already posseess the right stuff on your computer to write e-books with such as word processors and text editors.

So as you can see here, making money really doesn' take money.

There might be instances that I don't agree with this. It depends. But if we really just check the reality, it really takes money to make money.

For example, for you to be hired in the company, you must have to be a degree holder for you to have more edge against the others. By schooling in college to earn your degree, it takes money.

There are also some instances that some learnings are free, example of it is if you are a scholar, learn for me. But still it takes you money because you will be commuting to school and pay the bus or train's services.

What you need to make money is something of real value. Something that will be valuable to one or more people. Something that will make their life a little bit or a lot better in their eyes.

Not in YOUR eyes, but in THEIR eyes.

This can be something you own, something another person own, a service, your time, a product or something else.

There are probably a thousand ways of making money without having money.

I have read books on "Laptop Millionaires" how they made their fortune online, and what kind of online tools that are needed. Domain and hosting are quite cheap. And purchasing an Auto responder is needed. Its where I'm at now. I'm very new to IM, and it excites me knowing you really don't need to shell out a penny to make money online.

I like this post. Yea while having money to make more money is much easier, it does not take money to make money. Just look at many of the folks who won millions in the lotto and in 10 years lost is all but spending it like idiots.

I think the true path to riches is doing that which makes you passionate and want to get out of bed in the morning. Do what you love and the money will follow.

These guys that you mentioned in your post all had the burning desire to never ever quit. You have to fail many times on your way to being a success. We never really hit a homerun our first time at bat.

My dad used to say that a lot. It never really worked out that way for him. People also say you get what you pay for but I think you have to do the math to get real benefits at minimum cost. That's all really. If you don't pay with money, you pay with time or something else. I see many people invest a lot of money into something that they could have gotten for free with even greater returns. But maybe they spent time on finding this. So it depends on what you want and what you're willing to sacrifice...
