Which Personal Development Program Has Changed Your Life?

Hi Warriors,

I'm currently re-working myself through Personal Power by Anthony Robbins.

Which Personal Development program has had the most impact for you?

Which Personal Development event/ seminar has had the most impact for you?

For me, it was Unleash the Power Within. I did it in Feb 2004 and am planning on attending the one in Chicago in July. Have any other Warriors been to UPW too?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

Mo

Wayne Harrel's Incharger Program changed my life. I also went through tony robbins personal powers 2, but Wayne's Incharger kinda helped me implementing all the stuff I learned.

I got a lot from Tony's Personal Power program. The one thing I think beats out others is how he emphasizes using your body, not just your mind.

Richard Bandler's NLP techniques help somewhat, but they're more "therapy-oriented." You know... It's like sitting in the therapists chair and he works on you.

Tony is more like screaming in your face and jolting you out of your mediocre energy level.

hi guys, i just joined the wf.. and had to jump in! yup tony robbins is great- one of my good friends did that and he seems to be on fire! i think he actually walked on fire in the seminar..

after leaving my job a few months ago, I did a training by a company called Personal Dynamics in nyc. it lasted 5 months- was a lot of fun. helped me connect with people differently and create projects in impossibly short timeframes and see what was possible.

anyway just wanted to share that- here is a reading list that you guys might find interesting and i hope you guys don't think it's all 'weirdo-new age stuff' (some of it is ):

              people skills stuff:
              -the four agreements
              -the mastery of love
              -getting to yes- roger fisher

              leadership stuff:
-the last word on power- tracy goss
              -influence- robert cialdini
              -games people play- Eric Berne

              spiritual stuff:
              -the power of now
              -conversations with god- neale walsch

              abundance mentality:
              -the secret- rhonda byrne
-frank kern's core influence (found this myself on the wf obviously!)
-the four hour work week (helped me leave my job and get into this stuff)
-and all the other great ebooks/helpful people here on wf!

..have a longer list if you're interested. but i tried to keep it short.. glad to be here and looking to contribute anyway i can (as a wf newbie..)

Sorry for the late reply, since his main products are closed, I found another links of his websites and blogs (non affiliate and just free content). Too bad that the main products are not available. Any way, I really appreciate the free training he has, it says 6+ videos, 3 reports, 6 mind maps, a manual and notes. I went through the first 2 videos and the reports, they are some damn good material. But I had a confusion, he isn't selling anything in the middle process, why is he giving away that training? I mean, if I was in place, I would have given away 3 reports, I would rather sell that course.
Anyway, here is the link (non affiliate, there isn't anything there for sell I guess) Free Personal Growth Training

I'm sensing Frank Kern's copy writing in his emails as well as articles.

Dave, Love your list. Have read every book on it - some real classics there!

For me, if I had to choose one book, it would be Conversations with God.

Interesting how 7 Habits wasn't on your list? Have you read that?

Great connecting with you, welcome to the forum!

For me it's all about value for value, I actually feel better paying for something, so long as it is worth it of course, than to get it for free. It's just a level of abundance and prosperity, from my experience it's rare to come across a program that is free that will actually have an impact on you, I just think if you want to get to the next level you have to invest once again let me reiterate invest so long as it's worth it I say!!!!! Those are just my two cents from experience.

I agree, but the link I posted is a good training, the best "free" stuff in personal growth I've ever seen. Of course we always say that you get what you pay, but if someone is giving something away for free, it is always better than paid.

The Incharger product I bought more than an year ago from the same guy cost me $1200, I still applies what I learned. I still does all the exercises which I learned in that program more than an year ago. That is one of the reason why I admire all the people in self help areas, from Tony Robbins to Brain Tracy to Wayne Harrel. I remember 3 years ago, when I was broke, I used to think 10 times before buying even a $20 stuff, if at that time somebody would have given me the training he is giving away for free today, I couldn't thank him more. So if you are someone who is broke or can't afford products in self help or personal growth line, this is a guy who is giving away this training for free.

If you implement what you learn, you will definately achieve something, but if you get a $10,000 seminar and didn't implemented what you learned, its a total waste of time, money and effort.

  • I'm not sure if it would be considered a 'personal development program' or not, but a little book called, "Change Your Life in 7 Days" by Paul McKenna was completely mind-altering for me. I see things from a whole different perspective now.

The strange thing about personal development is that what work for one may or may not work others. Only way is to try and find out for yourself. Because the real change come from within, all the tools out there are just tools.

It is all about your current belief system. If the tools you are using, are in line with your current belief system there will be real change and transformation within. And you have found your magic pill. Otherwise you have two choices:

    1. You have to keep looking for a tool that is compatible with your current belief system. or

    2. You have to work on your belief system - which is an exercise of personal development!!!

Read books. Most people don't read a single book after they get out of school. Do you want to be like most people? I sure don't! I can't say there is any book that will work for everyone because everyone is in a different position in their personal growth.

    My current favorites:
    - Take the Step, the Bridge Will Be There (Grace Cirocco)
    - Mojo: How to Get It, How to Keep It, How to Get It Back if You Lose It (Marshall Goldsmith)

I've also just finished Brian Tracy's Thinking Big: The Keys to Personal Power and Maximum Performance.

Tony Robbins - "Awaken the Giant Within"

Started me on a path of personal development that will be a

I cannot say that there is one specific program that contributed to my overall self development. Several books and life experiences have helped bring new perspectives into my life. The latest one has been Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley. The ideas contained are shared by many other self development gurus such as the Hicks, but he has a special way of presenting the topic and the book is beautifully written.

I have, and am inspired by, Tony Robbins' Personal Power program, too.

However, the personal development resource that originally got me on the path to personal achievement was Earl Nightingale's book, titled, "Earl Nightingale's Greatest Discovery." From there, I purchased several of Earl's audio training programs, and through those purchases, I learned of Brian Tracy.

Since then, I have purchased numerous personal development programs by a variety of the well-known leaders in the field, but I always seem to turn back to Brian's materials when I am looking for inspiration or a boost in productivity.

Because of that, I started promoting and selling Brian Tracy resources a few years ago.

The Jack Canfield Coaching system was excellent.

I tend to be pretty skeptical, so reading Psycho Cybernetics helped me understand why some of the concepts in these programs actually work.

Getting into a Mastermind Group with other people seeking personal development has also been huge for me. You tackle big business goals with a team, so why not tackle big personal goals with a trusted team (your own board of directors)?
