This is a great post. Definitely worth archiving to read back through on a rainy day.

Mine goes something like this "it is amazing what a person CAN do, it's often dissappointing what a person DOES do."

I also like this funny quote "The best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war and the three U.S. leaders are named "Bush" "Dick" and "Colon"

The thre U.S. leaders don't exactly apply anymore, but it still funny :P

Another favourite that he said to me was

You can be anyone you want to be and do anything you want to do. Ultimately the responsibility for who you are and what you do, lies with you. Give yourself a pat on the back when you get it right but learn when you don't.
