"On Taking Responsibility ..."

One of the most important “concepts” I learned from Jack Canfield (“The Success Principles”) is how to take 100% responsibility for my life. As Jim Rohn said “You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind … but you can change yourself.”

So stop making excuses. Stop blaming people. Why? Because the only person who is responsible for your success is you. : ) This is what leaders do. This is what winners do. And, this is what men do. In assuming responsibility, Steve Pavlina communicates:
“If I’m unhappy, it’s because I’m creating it.”
When you decide to take 100% responsibility for your life¾ you accomplish more of what you really want. As W. Clement Stone said: “By acknowledging that you have created everything up until now, you can take charge of creating the future you want.”

You can’t change what happens to you. Sometimes life can be “unfair.”

However … You can change your response to everything that happens. As they teach in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) … “There is no failure, only feedback.” Now this is what life is really all about. When you take responsibility for your “failures” (and learn something from them) you will progress so much in life it will amaze you.

Remember you are also responsible for all of the good things you’ve created in life. : ) And by all means feel good about what you accomplish from now on.

So make the decision right now to take 100% responsibility for your life (or at least begin to think about it) because you will accomplish more and you will have a sense of being more “powerful” and in control of your life. I’ll leave you with an affirmation from Susan Jeffers (“Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway”)
“I accept total responsibility.”

This is a great post. All points were clear and true. We are responsible in every consequence of our decisions and actions.

You had to attend a course to realise that?

I knew by instinct it is a big bad world out there and act accordingly

I don't think The World is all that bad. Depends on how you look at it I suppose. Most of the time I think The Universe is a friendly place. : )

Hmmmm, is it wrong to take courses, expand your mind, learn the points of views of others (especially when they are a reminder of what you all ready know) and share what you learn with others?

I know so many who have limited themselves because they don't understand this concept. They'd rather project their problems outwards then take a few minutes to reflect and determine how they can correct them.
