Hi to all.
My name is Ragnar and I am new to this forum but what I have seen so far - I absolutely love it! I am really new to internet marketing and I have been digging around but I was wondering if anyone could possibly share his/her wisdom on writing the "perfect" article? An article to sell affiliate products. This would be a real help! Your, Ragnar |

Hi Ragnar,
If you are focusing on article marketing, the best way to write articles is to give the reader just enough info about the product or solution that you are about to offer. Don't give away everything in the article. Otherwise they won't click through and visit your site. Explain more about the problem at hand, and focus on the product. Talk more about the product. Some article directories like Ezinearticles are particular about self promotion. So you have to be a little creative here. E.g. talk about the product without mentioning the product name. Leave the name in the signature box. Also, the article doesn't have to be too long. If Ezinearticles accept 250 word articles, then a 250 - 300 word article will do. The key here is to keep the reader wanting more. In this case, short articles work! Hope that will help you get started ![]() Darren |

Hello Ragnar and welcome to the forum!!
You should obviously write an article for the particular niche you are promoting the affiliate product/s in. The article will have to provide something of value to the reader. If you're selling a product for "acne," write an article about acne. It can be anything: Determining the type of skin Prescription medicine versus herbal remedies for acne Tips on keeping the skin clean Understanding the different types of acne or whatever....related to your niche. You don't have to talk about the product in your article. People will click on the affiliate links if you provide useful information. If its a review type site/blog, then you'll have to write a review on the affiliate product you're promoting. Try not to push people into buying the product. Just let them know the benefits and even the negatives if there are any, and allow them to make the decision. A perfect article is one that always provides valuable information to the reader. You can't go wrong as long as you keep that in mind. Hope this helps! |

Wow.. thanks for great and quick answers!
This is what I was wondering, should I write about the product itself or the problem at hand. So thank you for answering that! So know that I know how to write one, I want to ask you where I should publish it for the best possible chance of success? Thanks |

The first place your articles will go on is either your website or blog. Post about 4 or 5 articles initially and keep adding one at a time at frequent intervals, till you have about ten or more.
Then comes the promotion. If you wish to do article marketing, you'll have to submit articles to good article directories, such as ezinearticles.com. Just do a search on this forum and you'll get a list of directories you can submit to. Try and understand the rules of submission before going ahead. When submitting articles to article directories, make sure they are unique and not the same as the ones published on your website or any other website for that matter. All the best! |

The best way to market affiliates is by getting their first name and email address and then sending them follow up emails marketing your product.

I would be interested in read how others make the transition from their article to the product page. How does the sentence that contains the affiliate link read?
