As a matter of fact, I do collect them; I love and collect quotes for a very long time. I have a serious collection of them and now and then I do read them and reflect on the meaning of some of them.

Hi, I just joined the forum. Thanks everyone for the quotes, I am feeling inspired already.
This poem has gotten me through some dark times. "Invictus," by William Ernest Henley, a chronically ill amputee who nonetheless led a successful and worthwhile life:

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.

Thanks,
Sarah

"The only way you will achieve success is to organize your thought power and direct it to the end you desire. Controlled attention means coordinating all the faculties of your mind, combining their power to a specific end. It begins with self discipline, which enables you to develop control over yourself." - Napoleon Hill

If you have a main purpose in your life then you must direct all your thoughts and discipline your focus towards that purpose. For example, look at Tiger Woods, the professional golfer. In order for him to stay on top of his game he must continuously improve his driving, putting, chipping, etc to achieve the all the professional titles that he already received but also all the ones in the future.

In order for you to be the best, you must first have that burning desire to achieve greatness in your area of expertise. Once that burning desire is there, you will drive all your thoughts and actions towards that purpose.

I had to look around for this quote for a while but its one of my favorites I thought I would share it with all of you.

Having lost everything in life, the man cursed at the heavens. "There is no God. An all-mighty and loving God would not allow suffering on this earth and the tragedies that have befallen upon me." God appeared and asked the man, "What have you done to alleviate the suffering of others with all that I have given you before I took everything away?" The man replied, "Forgive me, I was an unworthy steward of your grace."

Check us out beforehand, only looking for those who are ready to earn. Contact us for interview, no longer accepting "blind enrollments". Training available at no cost.

I do look for motivational and inspirational quotes from time to time. When I find a gem I typically post it on my Twitter feed too which is visible on my website.

My favourite quote is, '' while reaching for the stars, he forgot the flowers at his feet - unknown''. Good luck guys, reach for the stars but don't forget the flowers at your feet.

Of course.

Here are few favorites:

"What this power is I cannot say; all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it." - Alexander Graham Bell

"I respect the man who knows distinctly what he wishes. The greater part of all mischief in the world arises from the fact that men do not sufficiently understand their own aims. They have undertaken to build a tower, and spend no more labor on the foundation than would be necessary to erect a hut." - John Wolfgang von Goethe

"In a mad world, only the mad are sane." - Akiro Kurosawa

"The worst days of those who enjoy what they do are better than the best days of those who don't." - Jim Rohn

"Financial security and independence are like a three-legged stool resting on savings, insurance and investments." - Brian Tracy
