Choose To Be A Winner
If there is one significant distinction between those who suceed and those who do not, it is summed up in this quote: "Winners are willing to do what losers are not."
There is a tremendously profound truth in that statement. If I want something - success, a happy marriage, a growing agency, or even something small like a better hotel room - I have to be willing to do what it takes. I have to be willing to deal with the barriers and to know there is a way even if I do not immediately see it.
My brain has - all of our brains have - the creative potential to work around any barriers. The question we must answer is "Am I willing?... Am I willing to do whatever it takes to get what my heart tells me is possible?" If you are not willing to do what it takes, I say to you, don't do it. If you are though, then you can metaphorically speaking, leap into the English Channel for a marathon swim.
To get from Point A (my starting point) to Point Z (my ultimate goal), I am always willing to do what the other guy won't do, as long as it is legal and does not cause harm. While I keep Point Z in mind, I am always searching for Point B, then Point C, then Point D. That's the only way I know how to get to Point Z.
Today, make the choice, and choose to be a winner.
