Lightbulb Expressing Gratitude- What are The Benefits?

Hi Warriors

I read an article recently that I thought was very informative on the Power of gratitude. The Author made a statement that really resonated in my mind

We cannot exercise much power without Gratitude because its gratitude that connects us to the power. Gratitude is Powerfully Attractive

He also stated that one reason why more people don't come to understand the power of gratitude is because of their scarcity mentality. Now we can change our scarcity mentality by focusing on the fact that everything in the universe is energy. We also know that only about 4% of the available energy is being use. Which means that 96% is left over. With this fact in view then we can see we don't need to struggle or fight other for what we want.
We can choose to create our success rather than compete for a limited supply.

That's a fine point Adriana, it has been said over and over that in order to achieve we first must be grateful for what we currently have, but you see I've also found that when we are grateful the pre-requisite for having a mindset of gratitude is also having faith in something or someone, whether it be god, universe whatever you want to call it. So my question is how are you going to fail if you have faith? Your belief will ensure that you are doing everything you possibly can to take action on your goals and dreams without coming from that place in most peoples mind right before they quit, "what if", that place of scarcity. And even if you experience temporary defeat, gratitude for this experience will ensure that it is just a lesson you have learnt on your path towards success in whatever way you define it

Hi Adriana

Yes I agree. Gratitude can open the doorway to our personal power to create what we want. Gratitude is powerfully attractive in the sense that it is attractive to have a mindset of gratitude and then having that mindset helps to attract and manifest our desires. Therein lies the power. That's my interpretation anyway!

Regarding scarcity mentality, this can be a comfortable place. I used to go into victim mode, where outside forces where to blame for my material lack (my schooling, parents, government etc.). But then, I realised it is about me changing the way I think about myself. I am powerful enough to create what I want. I realised it is about taking responsibility, not giving my personal power away to outside forces. In other words, blaming! I think we live in a 'blame culture' world which isn't helpful.

Interesting topic, thanks Adriana!

Gratitude is very powerful as you have made mention. It is powerful in the sense that is lifts our spirit free because it makes us feel better. We can be grateful in the minute things that we have and experience, with that if decreases pressure and burden. Gratitude is really powerful.

You have to "give" before you can "get" and that goes for everything in this wonderful life!

"Expressing Gratitude- What are The Benefits?"

Well, i would say one of them is to help us focus on things that we are thankful and grateful for, instead of the common "Why is this happening to me" question that puts most people in a lousy state.

My 2 cents,
Dominic Tay

Thank you for bringing this up. Gratitude is an area I see lack of in many places. One practice I started doing is thank God for everything in my life and just feel that connection before I step out of bed. I remember Oprah said once that her gratitude is what creates abundance in every area of her life.

In that case, let's all keep thanking God each and every day and see what great things happen in our lives.

Hello Adrianan, interesting thoughts on Gratitude. I carry a 'gratitude' stone in my pocket which is my reminder to give thanks when something happens to me. There is nothing special about the stone, its a smallish pebble which most people can find around the garden. I chose to carry this after reading an article on the need to give thanks through gratitude, alas I cannot remember where. Andy
