Hey jayden, Before we can persuade anyone, we need to first build rapport with them. You can do this easily by: 1. Relating to a common incident/situation 2. Relating to a common interests 3. And much, much more... How do you exactly do that? Just start by asking questions. e.g. "Ever had dirty tough stains that were difficult to remove?" etc Hope that helped, Dominic |

Persuasion is a tough game. The word itself sounds shady but when done right you will always be able to persuade people. I try to live by the following... Rule #1 Deliver on promises. If people believe you, persuasion will come easily over and over. Rule #2 Offer real value Rule #3 Solve a problem. People are easily persuaded by solutions to existing problems in life or business. This could be a home remedy for the common cold or a complex business solution. |

Hi jayden.fellze, 1 - Build Trust If people trust you they can be persuaded by you. 2 - Establish Authority Experts can persuade others easily, without the use of force. 3 - Don't Force It Force negates. Don't try too hard. Simply build a relationship with whomever you wish to persuade and allow them to be convinced. The universe finds perfect matches for you when you allow it too. Ryan Biddulph |

I... - Analyze person. Body language, mostly. - Adapt to that type of person. - Understand his/her needs. - Use some universal tool for influence. (example: provide a quick fix, find similarity etc) ........... This topic is too big for the forum post. Books have been written on the subject. |

With passion, integrity, and a spirit of willing helpfulness. Then they either are persuaded or not, but your work is done. "To thine own self be true." |

Well, just bear in mind that 70% of communication is through body language -- The only meaning words have are the tone in which you use them. What does this mean? It means that any rapport you build can ultimately depend on factors outside of your immediate control! But there is a shining light... You can condition more self control and so become a better influencer. If I had to give a couple of points that are practical right now I'd say: --Genuinely share the interests of who your trying to build a relationship with --And smile!! ![]() |

Here is a list of books that I recommend you to read of which I've personally read myself and found great values in them : 1. Influence : The Psychology of Persuasion Robert Cialdini (This is the best) 2. The Psychology of Persuasion : Kevin Hogan 3. Secrets of Power Negotiating for Salespeople, Inside Secrets from A Master Negotiator : Roger Dawson 4. Power Persuasion : Roger Dawson 5. How To Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie ( Classic ! and my first book on psychology of persuasion ) Use the knowledge wisely because in persuasion, there are always 2 sides.. good side and bad side ... bad side is where all the con men are |

The above post has great book references to read. For me, I persuade by being honest, upfront and pleasant. When you are confident (not arrogant) and love what you do, then others are drawn to you and will actually want what you have. You can become better at persuasion.

Develop rapport by mimicking their actions. They raise their voice you raise yours. They play with their hair, you do play with yours on the opposite side of your body. Notice the way they breathe and begin breathing that way. This is a fast, powerful way to develop rapport with anyone. Once you have the rapport down and you're a friend, use the techniques above. To make it simple, don't ever tell people what to think or do, give them the information needed where they can draw their own conclusion, the conclusion you want ;-)

So, the solution is to make sure that what you are offering has amazing real value. When that's the case, you'll truly believe in what you are offering, and the persuasion will just be a natural part of how you present what you have. Let your personal quality and the quality of what you are offering speak for itself. Over-sell = under-profit. Period. | |
