Default How do you persuade?

How do you persuade? What are the most effective tools/techniques do you consider where you can persuade other people? Share your thoughts.

Hey jayden,

Before we can persuade anyone, we need to first build rapport with them. You can do this easily by:

1. Relating to a common incident/situation
2. Relating to a common interests
3. And much, much more...

How do you exactly do that? Just start by asking questions. e.g. "Ever had dirty tough stains that were difficult to remove?" etc

Hope that helped,
Dominic

Persuasion is a tough game. The word itself sounds shady but when done right you will always be able to persuade people. I try to live by the following...

Rule #1 Deliver on promises. If people believe you, persuasion will come easily over and over.
Rule #2 Offer real value
Rule #3 Solve a problem. People are easily persuaded by solutions to existing problems in life or business. This could be a home remedy for the common cold or a complex business solution.

Tip Re: How do you persuade?

Hi Brad,

Here are the some useful tips to persuade anyone:

  1. Enter Their World
  2. Mirror Their Body Language
  3. Be Cheerful and Nice
  4. Be Sincere and Trustworthy
  5. Provide Them With Compelling Evidence
  6. Show Them “What’s In It For Them”
  7. Genuinely Care For Them
Try to implement these points in you and start persuade people.

Best wishes

Jayden, there's actually a good book on persuasion, called "Persuasion" by James Borg. Wonder if you've seen it before...

I think kevin hogan says the first step to persuasion is persuading yourself.

Makes sense.
