What do you do when you got no idea?

I pick a market ... then I browse the forums on the net relevant to that topic and usually an idea comes to me...or 6!

For me, great ideas have come when I've least expected them.

I just say to myself
'what do you want ?'
'why do you want it ?'
Then I get up from the computer and get right out of my office and go and do something else.
And usually, but not aways, I have an idea to work on in about 25minutes.

It has been a while since we last spoken. I hope everything goes smothly at your end

In response to your post, when I don't have idea, this means my body and mind need a break, so I will book myself holiday, just fly to somewhere for holiday.

I love water, so I always go to the beaches, clean, white sand, walk along the water, listen to nice sound make from the sea, breath the fresh air.
I will also sit myself on the comfortable white nice sand, write down all the things that I am grateful for. And the list go on and on and on....
Give thanks for everything that I have. sing a song, give praise to the Creator. Feel blessed at every moment

Sooner and later, wonderful ideas will flow to me like unstoppable sea water, sometimes those awesome ideas just flow so fast until I can't even finish writting all down before they disappear again, hahaha .....

This is how I manage to come out with dozens of great ideas where I am heading no way

Hi,

The best thing that i have ever heard and also ever did was to take out a pen and notepad and start to write anything that comes to your head and i mean anything... just keep scribbling your ramblings until your brain starts to function properly again..

Really works so give it a try.

Just do something else.
If I have no idea so don't waste the time.
Most of the time the idea would come out by accident.

It is possible to happen, and I don't want that to happen to me.
That is why I am always prepared when that time comes. I always bring a pocket notebook and a ball pen. In case I have a new idea, I write it, then I'll finalized it later. It is like making a bank of ideas, so that when all my ideas are not available I'll just withdraw ideas there. I hope I make sense.

But that's what I do.

I go to You Tube and start watching videos, that give me a lot of ideas. You should try.

When you have no idea then go back to what you do know and map out your thoughts... it's never about creating something new but always building upon what you already know.

I look for problems people are talking about and try to build a software product to accommodate that need. I also think about the daily IM tasks that I perform and develop applications to automate repetitive tasks, software of this type will always sell well and provide value. Ebay Pulse can also be a source of inspiration as can Amazon, Yahoo Answers, Answerbag and specialist forums. I am also interested in psychology and having an understanding of the things which motivate people to buy can also inspire ideas.

Its simple, when you are relaxed you get ideas, when you stress your self then you stop getting ideas.

So if you are trying hard to get an idea, you will be stumped for ideas. But you get the ideas when you are driving or have gone for a walk. Simply because you are relaxed.
