That can be so frustrating. What I've found is that the idea comes when I'm not even thinking about getting and idea or when I'm lease expecting one. I keep a writing pad and pen by my bed and in the car. For some reason some of my best ideas come when I'm driving so I have to find a place to pull over and note it. Also, many of them come when I'm walking my dog in which case I have to repeat it to myself several times so I have it in mind and can write it down as soon as I get home.

I do the same with my moleskine, I have it on me at all times. Many times when I face a block I'll go outside and do some photography for a couple hours. It's very serence and requires concentration, thus openening new gateways away from the computer so that when I return, I'm fresh and recharged. Do you have any hobbies you enjoy that require focus to help pull your mind away? Best, |

If you are referring to niches, one thing you could do if you are not the creative type is that you could "buy" into a niche with a turn key website. I did that with yourbizwebsites, and got 10 different web pages covering 10 different niches, including internet marketing, weight loss, building muscle, 3 sites on dating and relationships, a web page on dogs, a web page on cats, a web page on skin care, a web page on real estate (particularly the foreclosure business), and a web page on spanish. The only downside to turnkey websites is that the niches you are given tend to be on the competitive side (especially the money making tips page). Just an idea.

I carry something to record with - usually my cellphone, but you can also get those little keyrings too - just something that you can log any ideas you get. But if I'm sitting at the computer coming up dry - I go see what people are talking about on here, or on Twitter, or even on CNN - just get outside of your usual channels and find out what's happening in the world!

Speaking of which, I think that recently thought of a whole new niche to invest in myself: the xbox 360, and am starting to make a Microsoft Xbox 360 fan site via Microsoft Office Live. I know that is a competitive niche as well, but I actually have an Xbox 360 myself and I do know people that work at Microsoft, and so I am all too familiar with that systems and games for it. Also, I have joined the Microsoft Store's affiliate program via Linkshare and have been into video games most of my life. What do you all think of that niche?

I'm involved with a biz opportunity that provides 15 websites, a full marketing system, call centre, and autoresponders etc... I'm really happy with the whole program, and am starting to make sales, However, I find the most important thing is to brand yourself through having your own blog etc, and providing people with value upfront, without trying to sell them anything. As far as your Xbox 360 idea, I think it's a good one. You could create a blog, post the latest updates for the xbox games etc, as well as your opinions on them....then ask others to contribute to your blog by posting their own reviews. Then you could have numerous affiliate banners on your page, which will result in sales for you! Good Luck! |

I cannot even imagine that. I get ideas every second. Even someone else's idea gives me ideas. Do you know what a Snuggie is? it's a stupid idea for a cheap blanket with sleeves. He is making $60 Million dollars with that. One easy way to get ideas? Simply ask people what they need. They will tell you.

Although I think it's easier with business than with something really creative like writing or painting. In creative arts, you have to actually find a way to express an emotion or vision within you, but like was said, with business, you just have to give people what they want.

Ideas are everywhere, especially on the net. Every webpage you visit could trigger an idea. Every email you read could trigger an idea. Look around you. Write down all ideas you have, or use a digital recording device. I have a notebook beside My Computer. Every idea I get, I write it down immediately in point form. I have already filled one notebook and started another! (Need a programmer though...know any?) At any time one of those "Eureka!" moments could come along.... or "Why didnt I think of that?" moment. Open your eyes and your mind will follow. Believe! Be patient... it will come |

It happens to me most of the time especially when I'm distracted and has a lot of things to do. When I can't make up my mind, most of the time I ask the people who are good on that field. But most of the time also, i surf the net and read articles about. Internet nowadays is the most effective way whenever i run out of ideas in mind.

If ever I got no idea on what to do on a specific topic I directly go research and understanding it. Sometimes, I usually think to quit but quitting means you are a looser. I always asked questions if I faced a problem that I can't really solved it on my own. But before I do ask my employer or what I do try to solve my own problem.

This doesn't seem to be a problem for me. Ideas float into my head and I act on them. I don't try to think them up. There is also a benefit in having many irons in the fire because you can go from one project to the other and freshen up your mind before returning to the last one. God bless Norma |

Dear Agung69, how are you today? Having a fun day? In response to your post, when I don't have idea, this emans my body and mind need a break, so I will book myself holiday, just fly to somewhere for holiday. I love water, so I always go to the beaches, clean, white sand, walk along the water, listen to nice sound make from the sea, breath the fresh air. I will also sit myself on the comfortable white nice sand, write down all the things that I am grateful for. And the list go on and on and on.... Give thanks for everything that I have. sing a song, give praise to the Creator. Feel blessed at every moment ![]() Sooner and later, wonderful ideas will flow to me like unstoppable sea water, sometimes those awesome ideas just flow so fast until I can't even finish writting all down before they disappear again, hahaha ..... This is how I manage to come out with dozens of great ideas where I am heading no way ![]() enjoy your magic day there. Keep in touch closely! To Your Success, Grace Jen |

There is really no time that there is no idea. What happen most of the time is that there is no further information in the line of our thought. The topic of this post is also an idea. I mean an ebook can just come out to address the issue. When you are thinking about a dog and you get to a point where 'there is no idea', then think about a goat. Think about your wife, your last holiday, your most embarrassing moment in the college. Slot in a comedy tape and laugh a little. Idea stop flowing when we take life too serious. Relax! Relax!! There is NO reason you should be stuck for ideas! One approach is to learn a few Idea Generation techniques and tools. Then take a little time each day to use them. |

I'm going to give away one of my favorite secrets here. Whenever I get stuck with no ideas of where to turn, I turn to.... absurdity It's the truth. Usually when I can't move forward with something, I'm letting my logic and "the rules" I perceive get in the way. So I say to myself "what would a ridiculous answer to this problem be? Why would that work?" Then all you have to do is scale it back a little until it's juuuuust feasible. That's when you're skirting the line between genius and insanity. |

I agree with the "Go to sleep" to get ideas. But I have tips that always work wonder for me: before you go to sleep, make a note "I need ideas" in a small notepad, read it several times, and put it on your bedside along with the pen. The next morning when you wake up, write down any thought that pops out in your mind. You'll be surprised on what things that you could get. Usually I use this method everytime I start on a story or to get ideas about the continuation of a story that I am working on and what I write on the notepad is the problems I need to solve; something like "How should A response to B's threat" or "What will happen in that dark alley" or I just write several last sentences of the story. This habit will need some getting use to, but after you "get it", ideas will flow... |

What I do is ask other people for their opinions and try to figure out which one will work. Sometimes asking other peoples opinion is a big help, only our pride makes us refuse we don't need others help. |

I find that ideas usually occur to me at the most unusual times so I try to have pen and paper or something to jot them down. When I jot down an idea, I will usually just use bullet points or key words that will jog my memory when I go to flesh out the ideas later.

Hey Agung, When you have no great ideas in your mind just try to quite your mind. Stop thinking and then you will let it in. Often we cannot hear the genius inside us speak because of all the noise in our heads. ~Igor |

When I've got no idea. I simply, let it go. I remove all attachment to wanting to have an "idea." Soon, a new idea pops in my mind that is so strong I can't help but to take immediate action to turn that idea into reality.
