Default Seven Steps to Being Your Best Self

*Know your purpose Are you drifting through life with little direction - hoping that you will discover contentment, health and wealth? Determine your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own distinctive compass that will guide you to your truth north all the time.
* Know your values What do you value most? Make a list of your top three values. Check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn't align with any of your top three values get rid of it..* Know your needs Unmet needs will stop you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. List your top five needs and get them met before it's too late!
* Know your passions You know who you are and what you truthfully like in life. Express yourself and honor the people who have inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.
* Live from the inside out Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. Learn to listen to what your heart is saying.
*Honor your strengths What are your positive traits? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you willingly share what you know with others.
* Serve others When you live authentically, you will find out that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others -your spirit - your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you are indeed pleasing, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them.

Yes you have a chief definite aim in life. Without a specific purpose you are adrift on a ever changing sea that drives you this way and that, but never takes you to a particular destination.

Making Decisions are also tough, because you have no idea if which option or choice is better than another. This happens because you have no overall purpose or goal driving your life. Therefor you have nothing to judge one option or activity over another. They may both be desirable, but one will take you closer to your goals and another may not.

Successful people make decisions based on their life purpose and goals. Then they stick to those decisions changing very rarely. You will find that people who have a hard time when it comes to being successful change their minds and plans often. Especially when they encounter setbacks or problems. They see them as signs from heaven that they should not continue. The opposite is true! Those problems and setbacks are really a stepping stone in their development. When they overcome them they gain self mastery and mastery in the area of ther goals be it business, sports, running a home, or relationships.

Default Great Post...

So true..knowing your "WHY" will help keep you on track. It's like an internal magnet...and things, people and circumstances that are congruent with your "why magnet" will feel right when they appear, and then choosing becomes easier.

These are excellent points to remember. I believe in the boomerang effect. I know that if I teach someone, if I serve someone, if I help someone, etc. that I will be rewarded somewhere down the road. I do not do these things though expecting something in return. I do these things because I know it is the right things to do and the rewards will come back to me naturally.
