Once you set your goals you also need to set your focus and then take massive action and you are sure to succeed. Goals without focus or action turn into failures.

Not afraid of failure. Face it and learn from mistake. It is alright to make mistake. We learn and fine tune it. Keep on trying to reach your goal.

Set a goal. Then figure out what steps are needed to meet that goal. Schedule the steps and complete them until you achieve the goal.

The first part is the SECRET to (eventually) getting things done. Setting a goal you know you can achieve gets you taking action. Once action is taken, you will find yourself exceeding your initial/ mini goal b/c momentum is in effect.

This approach has kept me going to the gym on days when I was not in the mood. It's worked for over 20 years so I'm sure it'll work for lots of other things.

However, the toughest part of IM in my opinion is the "stay focused" part. So many ways to market and make money...it's too much stimulation sometimes.

Yeah!
Definitely true!

If a person is focused with his/her goals everything will be possible just to achieve his/her goals.

Something I like to do is jot down the #1 reason why I want to succeed in multiple places ie. the bathroom, my room, my car, the fridge. To constantly remind myself to stay on track and keep focused on the goal.

I write goals every week.. Most of the time it ends up more like a "To-Do List".. Which I feel doesn't matter, as sometimes I can forget to do the small things..

I love looking back over the list at the end of every week.. and ticking 90% of them off.. It gives me a real sense of achievement, and helps motivate me the next week.

Goal setting has become a part of my weekly routine..

I agree! John Wooden said the two most important ingredients in success in any area of life are faith and patience. If you set the goal and resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes you WILL be successful!

Hey Guys

Goal Setting is EVERYTHING.....

It doesnt matter who you are or what you do.....if you can master goal setting you are going to be able to excel at ANYTHING.

Ive devoted the last decade of my life to goal setting and also published a book on the topic based on my findings.

You can grab the first few chapters at my website, check out the link in my signature.

The free chapters alone will help you enormously as they show you how to develop your will power and seld discipline....

If you cant master these two components then you are effectively wasting your time as you wont follow through on your goals.

Take care and chat soon
Brian

You can write goals until you are blue in the face, and even take action on them, but it's no guarantee of success.

Many of my clients have well articulated goals but:

1. Have not thought through what they truly want to achieve
2. Have no coherent and consistent strategy for achieving their goals once they ahve sorted out point 1.
3. Ask for help too late. We seem to have created a culture where asking for help is seen as a sign of weakness!
4. Panic when they make mistakes.

Almost sounds like they have listed out their wishes and dreams rather than serious goals. If they aren't devoting a sufficient portion of their time, energy, and resources to goal accomplishment then what they listed really aren't their goals.

I doubt I could write out goals, think through exactly what I want and why, determine a timeframe for accomplishment, etc (all required in true goal setting) without also coming up with action plans and roadmaps -- even if by accident. But maybe that's just me.

Peace

Find something to enjoy about reality. It's not going to go away.
