Magical Results From One Simple Technique

Concentrate!

Sounds boring right? But you know...

Many people lack the ability to concentrate enough. Now, I don't mean boring concentration. Concentration you see can be exciting too, please allow me to share with you why this might be so...

You can achieve magical results when you stop dabbling, faffing around the edges of your business. When you lack focus, when you dither around hither and thither not really concentrating all of your energy on one particular area of your life the results you receive can be mediocre at best.

To overcome this malady, it's important to concentrate all your life energy into just one area of life where you want to see a dramatic improvement.

By the very act of directing your energy, all of your energy in just one direction with a firm objective or goal in mind - magical results can and will happen.

My advice to you...

Stop spreading your energy around too thinly. Concentrate all of your energy with a laser like focus on achieving the kind of results you want and extraordinary things will start to happen.

When you pour all of your concentration or energy in just one direction, ignoring all distractions the magic in your life which is true to your character and personality make up, guaranteed... you'll start to see the positive results of your labor.

What's more it can be fun.

Exciting even.

Having and maintaining this kind of high energy focus on your ultimate goal pulling out all the stops to make your life or business work for you can lead to untold levels of inner contentment, happiness, more drive and energy not to mention, increasing your bank balance exponentially.

Now prove me right, get on with it and just simply...

DO IT!

Warmest regards,

Mark Andrews

    Thanks Mark,

I will print it out. I just read Napoleon Hill at the weekend and was impressed with the story about Edison who concentrated and did not give up. He tried over 10.000 times before he got the first light bulb working.

One of the biggest obstacles seems to be for me having my office at home. Today I got distracted about fifteen times by family members.

    Cheers

Headphones, sends a clear message to my family lol. But seriously, great post Mark . I always try to utilize the 80/20 principle and constantly have Brian Tracy in my head telling me "There is nothing worse than doing something efficiently which need not be done at all"

      Dan the Man...

You think you have distractions? Don't worry, all of us have them. Myself included.

The last few days spent trying to chase an Internet connection. Driving a couple hundred miles up and down mountain passes until finally, at last, the light on the dongle flickered from green (no signal) to blue (a great signal). Took me 8 hours solid driving to find this spot.

How come? I'm a digital nomad. I live on the road. Essentially - I'm homeless. By choice.

You see, I have a self converted stealth camper van / motor home. All kitted out for long distance European wilderness touring.

Presently, I'm in true wilderness in Ross Shire, north west Scotland. Believe it or not, I'm halfway up a mountainside at the moment. Close to freezing outside with sleet coming down by the bucket load.

On the roof of the van I have 3x 80w solar panels for my electricity (for the laptop) supplying a bank of 12v batteries. Inside, here in the back where I'm currently listening to Loreena McKinnet...

...I'm sitting on my bed in front of the wood burning stove to keep warm. Everything on board - very comfortable. Toilet, oven, hob / grill. Loads of storage space and earlier on today, just a few hours ago in fact, I was driving through this exact scenery (which in fact, I'm still bang in the middle of quite literally)...

      Torridon Ross Shire Scotland

      shieldaig scotland - Google Search

      You want distractions? lol

      Isn't it just gorgeous?

After Scotland, I'm planning on driving several hundred miles south across the English Channel by ferry, down through France, across the northern Pyrenees into Spain to the Pico de Europa National Park (northern Spain) from there to Galicia in north western Spain and from there down into Portugal.

The longer term plan, back through southern Spain, across the bottom half of the Pyrenees again into southern France heading towards northern Italy. Down the other side of the Adriatic Sea towards Slovenia and from there to Greece before heading north again.

      It's not a bad life!

      And...

One gets to meet some wonderful people en-route. Some real characters.

Laser focus, definitely important. But what's more important...

...is actually realizing the dream. Which is exactly what I'm doing.

Top of the day to you Dan and my kindest regards,

      Mark Andrews

If you feel torn between two separate lines of work, sooner or later you need to really commit to either one or the other.

When you give of yourself in too many directions at once, how can you feed effectively your true life potential?

When you dilute your energy you inhibit your own personal power point which in turn creates resistance and feeds in to the reasons (or excuses) why you're not able to reach your own potential.

Sooner or later you need to make a decision which path you're going to follow.

        You cannot serve two masters.

When you serve two masters you remain lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. In a nutshell...

...you end up fence sitting, forever in a state of flux unable to serve your own interests or others to the best of your potential.

Either decide to take the plunge and concentrate all of your energy in to your business or leave it completely alone until such time as you're 100% ready to commit to it and yourself.

This is my advice to you for great change can only occur when your fully committed.

Wishing you all the very best!

          The post was good, inspiring.

The description of how you are choosing to live your life is probably more inspiring.

Being completely free to make life be what you want it to be is probably the main reason most of us are looking(and many succeeding) for ways to no longer spend our life doing the 9-5.

    Nice post Mark.

Its very easy to get distracted online so its better if we plan/make a to do list and if one is working from home or have a home office there are 100% chances of getting distracted by family members as said by Dan.

    Awesome !

This thread triggered me to write a message to my subscribers. It's combination of this thread and what I felt ( which could be an influence of lot of other gurus and my own experience )

    Here it goes:

One simple exercise for Amazing Results; Worth practicing today and everyday ? You be the judge !

The exercise is : Focused Action Push Ups !

Take a decision and pour all your energy into that one thing. It's an exercise, initially you feel tempted to do something else, mind wanders - Just watch it for it's patterns.

Your amazing potential is like a big ocean in you, let the rivers flow graciously into it . These rivers are your thoughts of focused action. Ensure you remove all the obstacles (ANY thoughts and actions ) stopping the free flowing river; then you are bound experience awesomeness.

People fail because they think they have a great idea and think it over on it till it disappears. This leads to another one, eventually some get habituated. The next time you try to outsmart yourself - let a loud bell ring !!! And ask yourself what action can I take for next 20 minutes which will make me happy. Practice this exercise.

you'll soon fall in love with the statement " Take action before you are fully prepared" and you'll soon figure out focused action too. You would have had your moments where you would realized that "Mind in Action" has more answers and joy than "Mind in Stagnation" ( Thinking, worrying ..etc ).

Focused action has all the joy and happiness in it. And it is the only logical way to create value through your product or services and to reach out to your target customers. I'm quite sure all the answers for your questions is in this simple exercise. It has worked for me many of my friends and clients.

One of my client described really well he said " Sandy, My problem was not actually not doing well in business, but it was a constant frustration that I can do more than what I'm doing now. Focused action removed the lid out of the pressure bottle, it's altogether a great feeling of discovering myself through action and to witness the results.

Let your mind in action say " I have a tremendous ability to focus and concentrate on the task at hand. And I'm doing it now "

.. let me know your thoughts. Thank you for the thread again !

I get the gist of what you are saying Sandy but in several places your use of English doesn't actually make perfect sense. You might want to reword this to really connect with your clients emotions on a deeper level.

I take it English is not your native language?

But well done, you're getting there with the psychology of it. Good on you.
