...One Ten Second Burst of Courage".

I love this quote.

In 10 seconds you can:

-Pick up the phone and make a call that scares you
-Hit the send button for an email asking for a joint venture
-Subscribe to something
-Ask someone to buy
-Decide to start something new
-Stop procrastianting something that's holding you back
-Ask someone on a date
-Take action on something that scares you
-Ask someone to marry you

...and a million more

Think about it. How much easier is it to have a burst of courage for just 10 seconds instead of thinking you need to have of courage all the time?

I think this qoute came from a movie called, "We Bought a Zoo." Never seen the movie but I hear Tony Robbins repeat the quote the other day.

I love it! Such a cool spin on helping people to get passed fears.

You also reminded me of something else related.

Change can happen in an instant. That's why people should live in the moment as much as possible.

When people worry about the future, they are worrying about things which are still imaginary. You really don't know what could happen next week, tomorrow, or - like you stated above - in the next 10 seconds!

Something could come out of nowhere to just dissolve the problem you spent so much energy worrying about.

So true. If only we realised that in just 10 seconds we could make a decision that could have an amazing effect.

You can change your life in 30 days. This just reinforces that message. Take the first step - it is usually the hardest.

Great quote! Not planning ten hours, we can do a lot in ten seconds. But we need also planning for our future and for good result. 10 seconds decisions can lead to a big fault.

That's absolutely true! Associating more pain with not trying and being filled with regret rather than allowing the prospect of temporary setbacks or discomfort prevent you from ever trying in the first place.

Great post! I am sure it will get folks to thinking. I wrestle with some to these things everyday. Fear and procrastination are the two biggest stoppers in life. I often wonder what I, and others, could accomplish if we could just push through the doubt and fear.
