I have set the goal that I am going to walk out of my day job in July and go completely online. I am going to accomplish this through blogging, product creation and list building. I want to encourage each and every one of you to also choose a date when you will walk out of your day job. Then write the date in this thread. Lets see if we can't stir each other one towards success |

I don't think quitting in my daily job in July if I can really make it both daily job and nigh job. If you can't handle it you can just hire someone who can do the job for you.

I am quitting my day job, too, in July. Of course, I am starting medical school in August so that helps. My goal is not so much to be able to quit but to be able to pay for medical school on an ongoing basis so I leave with zero debt. |

I'm also thinking of setting a date but it really depends on how hard I would be working for my online business to take off. I agree with mrsuave, establishing your business first before quitting is better. I intend to earn at least double on what I earn on my job before I finally quit. |

Well, for me, I don't have any day job. I have been focusing a lot from my online business and I am enjoying it. I am working on the comforts of my home, with my family and my dogs. I enjoy what I have right now. But if you can balance on your day and night job, keeping both would be better.

Congratulations ryanmacca! Very exciting. There are so many people who did not even get a choice....and those people will be some of my niche to market to very soon. |

Very ironic this thread was made as yesterday sitting at work I made August 1st my "leave my job for good" date. In order for me to get there however I told myself I have to have 5k saved in the bank for emergency funding (low cost of living in KS). I know it doesn't sound like much, but I have dwindled my day job down to part time so it won't take too much monthly to replace my income. The sky's the limit from there! |

What a coincidence!!! That is great news that you set ugust 1st as the day you leave your job. Obviously I will only be leaving my job on July 1st if I can afford it. But I will be working my butt off so I can afford it

I know that unless you set that date you'll never feel like you have to get things done.

Best if you already have some savings (support for at least 6 months) if you decide to quite your job. This will prevent the bad thoughts of getting money in quick. Online business is a long journey.

It is great that you set a date to quit your day job. I have walked away from a job 12 years ago. It will be a special day for you when you manifest your goal.

I am not stupid and am going to leave if I truthfully cannot afford it. It is just a goal that I have set myself so I can be inspired and work towards something

Good on you ryan...don't let anybody dilute that mindset. I have always been a major goal setter and will continue to do so until the day I die. I set a specific goal about 15 years ago now, to quit the matrix...the 9to5 system and thankfully achieved that vision and have never ever looked back. I am the manager of my time and controller of my destiny (secondary to God!). If I can do it you certainly can mate! Go for it!...it starts with a vision and walked out through knowledge, determination and action. gee1 |

That's great Ryan... It certainly can be done. Just make sure you have some reserves. Don't just replace you income from your job with your internet work. What I would suggest continue working both until you have some reserves. Three months of income saved up should do. Six months is better. Then you'll have some breathing room. You won't be under the gun if something goes wrong. You can just adapt and keeping working online. |

Hmm. What if you don't have a day job right now? I currently am working part time doing freelance writing/web/graphics projects, and would like to transition full time into my desired field of hypnosis. I'd like to set a date of August or July, but given I'm getting married at the end of next month, I need to set a date in May to start getting a consistent income from my efforts. So let's make it May 15th. Not much time, I know, but it can be done ... especially since I'm not saying I need to be making full time income by then; just a consistent amount, however big or small that amount is. And I know it'll be hard to accurately determine consistency with only a partial month, but if I get income starting to come in by then, it'll be enough of a milestone. |

Ryan what actions are you doing daily to achieve these results? Mine is May 31st. I'm consistently following my marketing plan. My upline shared with me simple.ology (you can google it) to help me stay focused. That is very helpful as well. |

I quit mine 15 years ago - been full-time at home and online ever since. For me it was the best decision. It can be tough at times with cashflow - especially in the beginning years, but you'll figure it out if you don't quit.
