Default The power of not giving up

Don't Give Up

I believe there are lots of fellow internet marketers here. I find that most people in internet marketing gave up way to early before they can enjoy success.

Always remember not to give up and just keep learning along the way. Internet marketing may not be a quick way to riches but it can definitely provide you with the income and freedom that a normal job could not.

What ever failure you had met, do not give up. Just keep moving forward and you will definitely reach the finishing line where success is waiting for you.

Cheers

In IM or even in the real world, the power of not giving up is always work. If you believe that you can do something then you need to pursue it, but sometimes there are those things that we need to give up, not all of the things should be fought. There are certain things that we deserve and there are others that we don't.

I totally agree with you! Don't give up. A little "sweat equity" is required at first, but you will reap the benifits in time!!

Agreed completely. You may fail 9 times in a row, but if you want to succeed on that 10th try, you have to keep getting back up!

They say that the guy who invented the lightbulb tried 10,000 times before he got it to work. (Was it really that many?)

Nice post Vincent. Anyone can quit or give up. It takes tenancity and perserverance and the clarity to visualize your end result that keeps you going. And when you feel like quitting find any thing even something small that you can do to keep your attitude positive.

You can't plant carrots on Friday and harvest them on Sunday. You have to have faith that if you water them, weed them, fertilize them and take care, you will be rewarded.

I constantly challenge myself with "I know you can't but if you could how would you do it!"

Much success to you all.

Sid

Lets face it, no matter your endeavor you will come across obstacles, mistakes, road blocks. That's part of the journey in stepping out of that nasty comfort zone and into your potential zone.

There is one main difference between average people and top achievers and that is their perception of and response to failure. Failure should be your friend because that means you are trying something new and by making mistakes you are actually growing from that event.

Remember Thomas Edison failed some 10,000 times before he actually was able to get the incandescent light to work.

Keep you eye on the end result and this will help drive you to succeed.

Love this thread... thanks for posting it.

You can say Thomas Edison (the light bulb guy) succeeded 9,999 times each time he eliminated an unsuccessful way. That's what we marketers do when we test and test again until 'jackpot!'

The important thing is to maintain a clear and optimistic perspective on the journey to success not just focusing on the getting there... remember once you arrive at the destination the view of the scenery is finished.

Don't give up... enjoy the ride... you'll reach their even quicker.

I have a web site that is now enjoying "Cruise Control" and if I had quit as I wanted to so many times I would not have ever imagined the joyride that was right around the corner and today after 9 years we're still growing - we didn't get rich, but was able to reivest profits into more programming for our new site that will be a huge success.

To many folks give up because it's easier - If you want to see a great inspiring move see "ripple effect" it'll put things into perspective...

I agree in general, but would caution that 'learning' is a key word in this. A fly will never give up flying into a window to try to escape, it never learns! So, yes don't give up but DO realise that you might be doing it wrong!

I agree. If you won't give up you can really get what you are aiming for. It is just a matter of Perseverance. If you have that you don't ever think to give up because you have perseverance in getting your goal of success.

Giving Up!! What's that?? It's not an option. Now don't be stupid, and keep doing the same thing that dosen't work, that's just not common sense. Find a good program, learn it, and when you see results, keep going. Never quit! Imagine where you might be in a year from now...what about 2 years from now?? Many people expect instant results, but they very rarely exist.Just stay focused on things that work, and don't quit. You will be glad you didn't. In the mean time, get a second job if you have to, while your developing your online BUSINESS...Just Don't Quit!!!

I hope this helps someone out!

Good Luck

It's VERY important to say optimistic, inventive and determined. I find that the three go together. If I'm feeling a little disheartened by creativity goes out of the window and work seems like a chore. However, when things are going well for me, I find that I'm capable of exceeding my own expectations of myself, which is a real motivator.

People in general are much more capable than they give themselves creit for. It's impotant to strive to better yourself and to prove your abilities. Too many people let themselves down, when they could've been very successful.

One of the situations we should never give up is when we face rejections, and tons of them. Being a real estate agent, I know that to be VERY true. Jack Canfield said:

Remember the following: SWSWSWSW, which stands for "some will, some won't; so what - someone's waiting." You just have to hang in there long enough to eventually get a yes.

Cheers~

Tip Re: The power of not giving up

Vincelog, that message can't be repeated often enough. Thank you, my friend.

If I may add a pointer: what keeps you (and me) going rather than giving up is not whether or not you make money online. It's whether you love what you're doing. I write self empowerment books and courses. That's what I love.

I tried eBaying, affiliate marketing everything from cameras to fuel saving gizmos, I've looked at online mlm schemes ... anything legal ... until one day the penny just dropped. I wasn't loving doing that stuff any more than I loved my old "job."

As soon as I went back to writing my stuff in my way, I felt great. Money showed up ... from all sorts of places. You trust, and you do what you love.

Live from the heart - that's why you're here.

Trev.

Hey Stamin,

Believing is important in our quest of success. If we do not believe in our own abilities, it is highly doubtful that one will achieve the success he desires.

The key to internet success is NEVER GIVE-UP!!!
I have been in internet marketing for almost a year and before 2 months ago, I never made enough money.
I almost give-up on January... But I still have a spirit to move on...

Then now, I have been able to see my profits rolls on my account

NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Yes, persistence is the most certain path to success, but...
OK. How do you know when to give up? That's the $64 billion question.
Think of building a hut/house/mansion to live in?
How and when do you succeed?
If you keep adding to the building and you know you will live long enough to appreciate it after it is finished, that's when you know how long you should persist.
What do you think?

That is awesome! Glad to hear that you persevered.

I always say people give up on themselves when they quit. I had to learn in the past that I wasn't letting anyone else down but me.

Along with not giving up, it's important to set realistic goals. One hears so much about "million dollar launches" that it seems if you have an IM program that generates returns in the thousands of dollars you're not a real player. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I've been in this business for 17 years (when Internet Marketing was really more direct mail marketing) and it is only really in the last 5 years that I've been consistently successful. A big turning point for me was to learn from the top dogs, but don't compare your success to theirs. (Also as one VERY successful IM told me, "Remember that even us big dogs are often talking about Gross Revenues not Net when we throw the huge numbers around.")

Yes , very true , internet marketing is all about patience and mre patience. Do believe in yourself , work hard and you will hit the light.
After my research and long term in internet on marketing business I feel that patience is the key to success and we must know what we are and what our goal is.

Start by writing down your major goal. Your major goal is the ultimate thing you'd like to see happen. For example, "I want to make honor roll," or "I want to get fit enough to make the cross-country team," or even, "I want to play in the Olympics" are all major goals because they're the final thing the goal setter wants to see happen (obviously, some goals take longer and require more work than others). It's OK to dream big. That's how people accomplish stuff. You just have to remember that the bigger the goal, the more work it takes to get there.

A great quote to illustrate the point...

Just because we aren't millionaires yet it doesn't mean IM doesn't work. All it means is that we simply haven't yet learned how to get there or we are too sceptical or lazy to apply the knowledge. But we are here where we can freely learn from each other. I am sure that after a few discouraging experiences we will finally get where we want to be. All successful people say they had many reasons to give up but they are glad they didn't (and I don't only mean financial success).

The power of not giving up is what makes millionaires. This is why you don't become a millionaire in 1 day. You grow to become one. You'll face obstacles and challenges where you will learn to fight your way towards your goals and financial freedom.

Never quit , learn and learn from any experience , you will always take something good , the only way to success is with hard work , theres no way to make thousand of dollars in 1 day .
