Hello Warriors! I need some people that will understand where I'm coming from which is why I choose to post this here. I feel as though I know exactly how to be successful in this internet marketing business. I know exactly what it requires and I know the steps to building this business from the ground up. Here's my problem I don't do it! When I step back and look at the big picture I can see it so clearly but when it comes to sitting down in front of my computer and actually applying it MY MIND GOES COMPLETELY BLANK. Now if I didn't understand this business and I was working hard it would be easy to say okay I just need to find out what I need to do and capitalize but I know exactly what to do. I know this is bizarre but if there's anyone with any advice out there it would be well received. |

maybe you like the idea of being in an im business.. but have no real desire for it .. maybe you really want to make something and sell it through the internet ..rather than have an internet marketing business .. i realized that long ago ..but it is good to know where to look if you want to know how to set up a site to sell real services you provide |

it is called self sabotage. you have to dig deeper to find out what your fears are because nobody "chokes" for nothing. Google "worrying quotes" then click images... and read those cool quotes! You have to figure out what burns you to action and that will take self realization. Good luck

Been there myself. I nearly self imploded my brain with so many logical ideas, and absorbed so much info so fast... that I paralyzed myself. If anyone looked at my stats, you'll notice I just returned to the forum after 'walking away' from everything online. Here it is, 11 months later, and I still retained all the training, marketing methods, and ideas I had last year. However, when I walked away...I dropped over 200 domains, let my hosting go, and let over 40 WordPress sites, blogs, lenses, and Hubs fizzle into the sweet abyss. *With little regret The only real good news is, I lost the 15 pounds I had gained sitting on my arse, and started getting outside and sleeping more. Ultimately, I had forgotten my initial reason for studying internet marketing... which was to pursue my writing passions. Naturally, I had zero tech skills concerning the internet. When I say zero, I mean; I didn't know what FTP meant. Heck, I don't even think I knew how to use an email account. Long story short... I absorbed information like a sponge, started writing code, studied 10-12 different marketing strategies, and forgot I wasn't here to be a designer, coder, graphic artist, or do video creation, and all the other 95 ideas that I knew; could eventually pay me well. I was here to use the power of words, publish quality information, and of course make money doing so. Whelp... I'm back, and am dead set on one mission: doing article marketing, promoting affiliate products through a few specific niche sites, and eventually, write some eBooks. -That's it! If I haven't the ability to design my site, I'll outsource it. If I suck at building squeeze pages, I'll buy one or pay someone to do it, which btw I am capable of doing both...but you get the point. Pick a plan... be it one niche, one product creation, one eBook, one WSO, and do it! Just don't do what I did, and start 97 different projects... never to really ever produce one that measured up to my own standards. Don't get me wrong, I made some killer squeeze pages, sales pages, and wrote some decent copy... but in the end, I never wrote (1) of the 10 niche books I had intended. |

Glad that you have the desire to succeed. And that you know how to do it. Now you just need to find the motivation and make yourself do it. Make notes when you can, and sit them by the computer and then apply what you have written down to your work.

You're not into fully knowing what it is really all about if what you know just lies to your head until you act and do something about it. It's called imagination, and are not realistic until you so something about it.

One bite at a time. ![]() You need to pick a project and map it out. Then go down through the list until it's done. As said here earlier you have to stop the imagination and start applying yourself. As you see progress you wont stop, I promise. Good luck, Dennis

We are all procrastinators by nature. The reason why the successful succeed is because they slay their natural desires. Jack Lalanne used to say that, if he didn't control his behavior he'd be drinking and having different women every night. It is in us all, you have to control your animalistic desires, (whether it is internet marketing or anything else). When Kobe Bryant won the championship 2 weeks later he was back in the gym at 5:30 AM. Who does that? 99.9% of the players in NBA history don't have his work ethic. Why? Because winning takes presedensce over all else! Partying is not going to be in his way, pain is not going to be in his way. He has obsessed himself with basketball. This is your NBA sir. Are you going to win a title or not? "Not everything faced can be changed, but nothing is changed until it is faced." -James Baldwin "The shortest answer is doing" - Lord Herbert "Do it and then you will feel motivated to do it" --Zig Ziglar Note to self: Finding a cool quote and writing it in your journal is not a substitute for getting it done. -Betsy Canas Garmon |

For years I have studied, read, and gathered up as much information as I could. I knew what I wanted. I knew how to do it. The problem? I never sat down and actually did it. I was too busy learning and not busy doing. Learning is great and all, but when you do not practice what you learn, then what is the point of learning in the first place? What helped me was setting goals for myself and being accountable to someone. You need to be scared of not reaching your goals. This is what I do & I think it will help you: * Write down your yearly goals in a physical journal. (Nothing is off-limits) * Break down each goal into quarterly goals. (What you wish to accomplish in 3 month intervals) * Break those goals down even further and set up an action plan. (A plan that you will stick to) * Know what you are going to do each day and everyday accomplish something that will put you that much closer to reaching your goals. * Make yourself accountable to your goals. I am in college and live with some negative narwhals as room mates. They tell me that I am dumb for believing that I can ever be successful with Internet Marketing. They tell me to get a "real" job. I am glad that they say this, because 1: it creates pressure and 2: it gives me accountability. No one is going to tell me that I cannot achieve something and I will do whatever it takes to prove that. The sooner I can achieve my goals, the sooner I will be able to say, "I told you so" and have them begging me to teach them what I know. Here is a video that has helped me in creating, setting, and achieving my goals:

You have the ideas, right? And mindful of ideas may be! A good idea is what you need to be successful in IM. So you have what you need. But at the same time you also need to implement your idea into real. And when you can't do yourself, you should think to hire VA seriously to see how fruitful is your idea.

There are three levels of "understanding". Understanding the information presented, knowledge ("knowing") that information, and skill. Let's use martial arts as an example because it's what I have skill in. 1.I intellectually "understand" the complex info presented. 2. I "know" it from practicing somewhat. 3. I can do it, because I have demonstrable skill. Simple, neh? |

Hi Tim, I think many others share this frustration. They know exactly what they need to do and how to do it, it's just a matter of actually doing it. In these instances, my best advice is to get a mentor that will motivate you to make some specific goals and work each day to achieve them and follow up on your progress. Added you on Skype. |

Hello, I would start with a 5 page blog, Wordpress, if you can start with Op or Pt for theme, they both speed up the process in making all pages. Now for what to do or what to build on, try building your blog on something that you are good at, and then sell stuff on it, try looking at other blogs, you will soon start to see how things just fall in place. I always look at things that need to get done by writing them down, or task for the day, make sure your workspace is clean, sounds strange but, you must be neat to succeed. Yes I am talking about your home office. Always look at the pros, try to get ideas from what they do, try not to copy them, but use their blog style, might help you in your design, or just try to be better then them, If you need help let me know. You are here, so you are doing something right. If you have to, put a little bling in your blog, works for me, lol Thanks Rob. |

Here's the thing, based on what you described, you probably do know a thing or two but it's only the theoretical side of things. The practical side of things can be very different. It's the difference of knowing that you need to press the keys of a piano to play and actually producing beautiful music. Worlds apart. Here's what I suggest, spend some time planning exactly what are the actions you need to take. Then, start doing something....keep practicing. You'll eventually get there. |

It will become nothing until you take an action. try to do something until success. if you can do it very good, just hire some people to do that job and you can planing another idea than hire some people again. good luck dude

You say that you already know everything. If you have already achieved it in your mind it might be hard to make the real-life work as good as you imagine. You have built an internal standard of how great your work are supposed to be and fail to materialize in comparison to that. Meaning, you mind don´t really go blank, it just doesn´t produce the standard you are expecting of yourself - so, from your perspective, nothing comes out. Alternatively, you dont have enough incentives to do the work. Meaning: you simply dont have it bad enough to get motivated Your business is not dependent on that client, your finances is already OK or fine, you don´t have a girlfriend and/or child that you are willing to do everything for etc etc. So you go about it half-way because of the lack of fire under your feet.

I second a lot of the thoughts here. Quickly though 1.) You may feel like you don't know what to do. "Better options" always present themselves. You will need to pick something and once you act on it, you will find that theory is different than practice (you may think you know it until you actually do it and see the results of it) - “The person who reads too much and uses his brain too little will fall into lazy habits of thinking..” ― Albert Einstein 2.) A coach may be a good choice if this is not the first time you have faced this issue. |

So, you don't understand how to consistently take massive and effective action. This is what you need to start trying to do (understanding how to consistently take massive). Now you have a goal. Now, relentlessly try to reach that goal. Experiment and evolve a strategy to successfully do this. Use the strategy that you develop.

Have you found what you're most passionate about? (Rather than just focussing on making money from IM.) Now that I've found my "divine purpose" taking action and getting on with everything is much easier. So maybe keep looking for a business idea/venture that you can't wait to get working on. : ) |
