Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Our greatest ally and our greatest enemy is both self and self. Looking into the mirror doesn't really help identify them because it is what we cannot see with our eyes but what we think about ourselves that matter in this lifelong battle. I have never met anyone completely at ease with themselves nor completely despaired about themselves. However, turn of events usually tip a person to either side. All we can do in our lives is this to live better, become a better ally of ourselves to ourselves rather than to self destruct with self inflected emotions. Let me know if you need help, will see what I can do for you my friend :) |
Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Fear is a great ally and enemy. Fear is an enemy because it can keep you from moving forward with what you need to do as a business owner to be successful. Fear causes many people to not take action. Fear can be an ally by attacking what you fear. Fear can be a motivator to challenge yourself to overcome whatever obstacle standing in your way. |
Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Thank you, Eric, for starting this thread and sharing your views. Thank you, techbul, for bringing this thread to my attention. I agree that I, myself, am my greatest ally and enemy. My thoughts determine how I feel and ultimately how I behave/act. My actions determine my freedom. And isn't it how much freedom we enjoy that brings the highest value to ourselves/our lives/the lives of others? My definition of freedom is not simple. It demands tremendous responsibility... |
Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? My greatest ally is patience! With patience I have been able to remain focused at a particular goal. Many setbacks have tried to dictate to me final outcomes but patience has helped me many times to be stable while waiting for their (the setback's) strength to go down. And every thing that has been a problem has only been a problem for a while...and then its strength goes down. This is my experience. That is what I have noticed...a situation only seems frightening when you look at it from a distance. As soon as you get close to it you begin to see how you are going to beat it. I don't have any significant enemies! |
Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Your greatest ally is your mind. Your greatest enemy is your heart. |

Great words of encouragement and i could not agree more. It is our belief that will lead us to fullfilling life or mediocre life. Very few people realize this, whatever you belief in will affect your behavior therefore your result in life. The disappointing thing is people adopt very limiting belief therefore, live in a quite desperate live. All the best, Leo www.beyondsuccesssystem.com |

Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Can't speak for others but my greatest enemy is my self now, and my greatest friend is my future self. Your bad habits, your past you, they all get in the way of who you want to be. It's about letting that future you take over, guide you and your goals, and constantly improve yourself, never giving up to your future self pulling you to be better. Never letting your current self's demons keep you back. |
Re: Your greatest Ally and Your Greatest Enemy. Who is it? Your subconscious is your greatest ally and possible enemy; you get what you put in the cauldron. All your memories are stored in there be very careful what you think. |
