    By hard work

Falling asleep at night after a busy, almost impossible day where you've done everything you could have done is the best confidence booster I know.

Yup, it's one of the best boosters!

You can also boost your confidence by reading the books, "The Magic of Thinking Big", "See You At the Top" by Zig Ziglar, and "Ask and It Is Given" by Jerry and Esther Hicks over and over again, every SINGLE DAY of your life for a year. You will become a different person who naturally attracts success.

AT LEAST ONE PAGE A DAY WILL GET YOU FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVE STUFF AND WHEN IT BECOMES A HABIT, YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE... 180 DEGREES.

Decide what's important to you (knowing that you can accomplish almost anything) and then go out and do it. That will surely build your confidence and self-esteem. : ) Something else that brings me great happiness is empowering/helping other people achieve their goals in life.

I believe that the fastest quickest way to confidence is through absolute honesty. Be completely honest about who you are, about your strength and most importantly about your weakness. Confidence without honesty is smoke and mirrors. They might look impressive but they are not what they seem.

The way I see it, the only road to true confidence and strength comes with being in touch with our inherent weakness and building from there. Opposed to building to hide the weakness.

  • Want a fresh take on confidence? Pick up a book written by Tucker Max, 'I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell,' or 'Assholes Finish First' are two of my favs. Granted the content is extremely crude and obnoxious however the guy is quite possibly the funniest smart dude I've ever read.

You'll get laughs, extend your vocabulary, and most certainly lose some worry in regards to boosting confidence in yourself. Warning though: Take things he says with a grain of salt. Enjoy!

Believe in yourself. The more thoughts that you fill (or clog) your brain with of uncertainty, the less room there will be in there for you to utilize for actually becoming successful. And, trust me, you'll need all the room you can get!

A couple Muhammad Ali quotes will help...
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around my small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

    and...

In order to build your confidence you must consistently discipline yourself to show courage when the inner voice tells you to quit or that you're not good enough.
Success in one area helps you build confidence in other areas.
Also, working out helps your brain function very nicely and it is easier to achieve that confidence.

I think that's our self that we're fighting for, so it comes from our inner self, when we already defeat our limitation and then defeat the environment of our area of expertise we could get the confidence.

Respect for others; honesty in your actions; worthy goals that fill your needs while providing service to others; the knowledge that you are giving your best to the things you do. . .

These will help to build your confidence. You can also set your mind to feel confident, act confidently and project an outward image of confidence. It may seem silly to do this, but it works.

One other suggestion is to find a friendly supportive Toastmasters International club in your area and join. You will learn speaking, listening and leadership skills and as you learn and practice them in the supportive club environment, you will gain greater confidence in the bargain. You will then be able to take this benefit out of Toastmasters and into other areas of your life.

    Read Read Read!

Surround yourself with people who uplift you and motivate you!

Find forums, blogs, websites, etc that focus on personal development.

I am currently reading the book, "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz and it is filled with dozens of gold gems that will change the way you think.

So far it has given be great insight on how to become more positive, helpful, and just live a better life in general.

It is definitely worth the read.

I also love reading the blog Project Life Mastery

I know one way to easily lose confidence is to start
comparing yourself with others success. So I would
say the opposite is true: do not compare yourself
to others and you'll boost your confidence.

There will always be people who are better, more successful,
happier etc., even if only in your mind. So be YOUR best and
    don't worry about others.

I think confidence starts with being realistic and positive about yourself, generally, people are a lot harder on themselves than anyone else. Start wih the small things and do them well and allow yourself to give yourself the credit you deserve (if that makes sense!). Challenge when your confidence started to lower, what/who triggered it and why you allowed it.

I agree with reading personal development book/sites/forums, but action (albeit soul searching and writing for example) is what will fast track your confidence boost.

    Good luck!
