Thought I'd post this in here

YouTube - Tony Robbins - Best Story Ever -...

I wonder how many have a "Tony Robbins story"...

I was 22 when I read Tony's first book.

After that I walked right into a very powerful man's office and
said I can help you with your sales force. I can do this, that and this.
He said how much? I thought 500 dollars an hour was a good number so that's what I said. The guy was like ok when can you start?

As I was waiting for my flight to return home with a pocket full of cash I see this big dude that looked like Tony Robbins. It was! I introduced myself and we ended up having a chat and hanging out for a bit.

When I returned home, his newest book was waiting for me in the post.

Crazy stuff.

That was 19 years ago.

Delighted to hear he helped you so much.

I tried to read one of his books last year but gave up as I found it heavy going. He was too wordy for my taste using 100 words when 20 would have done. I'm not doubting he has helped many people but his style is not for me.

It seems to me that all the self help gurus have the same basic messages which are review your life, list strengths and weaknesses, believe in yourself, decide what you like, write a list of goals, write a list of actions for each goal and start doing it.

Or am I too simple to understand their enormous pyschological insights? :-)

I first listened to his Personal Power tapes about 15 years ago. They helped me when I was getting started in business and over the years I've used a lot of the techniques (like the eraser technique) on my kids as they were growing up facing challenges in their lives and a few friends who needed help.

Amazing how fast and simple the techniques are and how you can see changes almost instantly.

Although I think you need to be careful that you don't become all consumed with what he does and NLP to the point it can almost become a religion, I'm grateful for the help that his techniques have provided.

The movie is very funny.....I first was exposed to Robbins many years ago. I didn;t particularly see anything special in what he had to say. However, over time I kept running into more and more of his stuff. Today, I could be considered a serious fan. He is obviously very smart, but beyond that he has a genuine gift for conveying information - he can hold the interest of the listener like no one else, imo.

Of all my personal mentor / coaching etc programs... Tony has been the most valuable for immediate results that last a lifetime.

Eight years ago I turned a yearly income into a monthly income thanks to spending an hour a day for 30 days actually DOING what the 'PersonalPowerII' tells you to do.

(yes, I also repeat the course every year for setting my new goals)

My immediate results were so spectacular that I bought a heap of other sets of PPII and had them sent to friends I cared about.

And was surprised when only ONE of those friends actually listened and practiced... and guess what... who is the only other person in my little group who has also had massive growth and development in all the hard core areas of life and finance? ... no brainer to guess which one.

The others are all where they were ten years ago, or worse, and would still say it was just too hard to spend that hour a day for 30 days... Even though they see where I am now 8 years later... I guess you just cant put brains into statues.

In the early 90s I had the opportunity to take his Date With Destiny course with only about 90 other people for three days and nights. Wow!

Tony is one man that can wake up a "new attitude" in you quickly. There is no free lunch though - you have to do the work.

Working with that crew made you feel like you could do ANYTHING! That is, until it was time to sit down and do the boring, tedious grunge work - then you wanted to bang your head against a wall and just go out to do another seminar and yell and dance around.

LOL Tony is the man...I saw him last year in Irvine. Unbelievable energy. I hear he may not be doing as many of the big seminars himself for that much longer, so if you get a chance to see him in person you should do it. He was put on this planet to do what he does....

I saw Tony speak for 1 hour about 4 years ago. Amazing how much he can inspire. In that one hour, I felt so alive. Like anything was possible. Buy his books and videos if you are having trouble getting motivated.

He partnered with Frank Kern and John Reese to create something called "The New Money Masters" or something.

I hear he may not be doing as many of the big seminars himself for that much longer, so if you get a chance to see him in person you should do it. He was put on this planet to do what he does....
