A few nights ago, I was reading "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz. On page 40, the author refers to a 1932 book called "Making the most of your life" by John J. B. Morgan and Ewing T. Webb. I wondered whether the copyright had expired on such an old title, perhaps hoping that I might find it at Project Gutenberg. So I Googled the title. Although it doesn't seem to be in the public domain as yet, I found out that the book has recently been reprinted and that the first 50 pages are available on Google Books. I clicked through, intending to just read the first few pages, but found that I couldn't stop reading. The advice is wonderfully cheerful and yet practical at the same time. I thought that other Warriors might find it as enjoyable as I have... Making the Most of Your Life - Google Book Search I'm planning to order a copy -- I just don't know whether to buy one of the re-prints or track down a 1932 original! |

I remember reading psycho-cybernetics some time back, but for some reason, I really did not take the book very seriously. The book did not really go well with me, but it was an entertaining read nevertheless.

I've just ordered a copy of "Psycho-Cybernetics 2000". I used Amazon's "Look Inside" feature to read the first few pages and found it to be a much easier-going to read -- the original still has that formal 1950s "starched collar" feel to it. Should arrive sometime this week. |

Good question, TF. Every page in the Google preview that I linked to has "Copyrighted Material" in the bottom corner, so I think the answer's "no". According to the following guide to copyright terms, it looks as though MTMOYL won't be in the public domain until 95 years after its publication, the year 2027.
