thanks Roshanc, how be can a ping list be? I have read that it is very important to getting indexed fast and I can see from the post that I have almost the same ping list ( just minor difference).

Any warrior willing to share their ping list?

Figuring out longer tail keywords from the main ones isn't too hard, but sometimes it takes a little hit and miss research to find some good ones that no one else is competing for.

Google adwords tool is good but its not perfect and can give you some results that are sometimes quite accurate and other times way out, so you can't always trust it. Having said that, its a good starting point.

Type in the main keyword you have in mind and the adwords tool will give you a list of alternative leywords. Choose one of the alternatives that has decent search numbers and key that into the main search box and do a search on that. If there are any usable longer tails, this is where you'll find them.

BTW, nice post Roshan. Your method can be tailored to suit many kinds of marketing. If you don't want to go to all the trouble of building a list and creating/selling a product, there are easier ways to still make money off the site. Once you start seeing decent organic traffic showing up from the search engines, Adsense can be very lucrative in the right niche. If there are decent affiliate products availabe, you can add some of those too. Then the site becomes set and forget and you just rinse and repeat with new sites in different niches.

This is a super noobish question. I've used most of your steps so far. I only have *looks at to do list* 2 more to go. I was wondering if it would hurt my marketing to not leave my link in blog comments, and just instead focus on Yahoo Answers and forum posting more. I like Yahoo Answers and for some reason I'd just feel guilty leaving my link in a comment on someone elses blog. I know that the answer is probably a no-brainer, but I thought I'd get some reassurance anyways.

And for those who were complaining that this is a lot of work, it kind of is. Just setting up everything has taken me somewhere around 20 hours. I've outsourced some of the work but done most of it myself. Just thought I'd throw in a healthy estimate as to how long it takes to set a plan like this into action.

It wont hurt your marketing if ya wont do blog commenting, but The more you do its better, since it increases the value.

Great post! I will definately try it out later! And outsource mostly everything. (Except the wp blog, which I'm pretty competent at, as well as SEO for wordpress)

Good idea to purchase some newsletter PLR, as I HATE writing follow-ups for niches I have little interest in.

I have a few additions though:
Use pingler.com instead of the ping list, or both.
Bookmark the articles as well, like in this thread: Set It And Forget It Article Marketing

By WordPress site, he means that you need to install WordPress that can be downloaded from WordPress.org on your own domain and not use wordpress.com, a hosted service.
