There are two versions of Wordpress. Wordpress.com (Your blog hosted for you) Wordpress.org (You host your own blog, for example with a Hostgator.com account) You want the latter NOT the former one. As regards a domain name, quick tip for you, since you are a self professed newbie to this game... Don't go for a brand domain which you think sounds cool. It may very well sound 'cool' but you will be hurting your own progress in the early stages if you go for a brand domain name, creating extra work for yourself which will be time consuming from an SEO perspective. (And possibly more expensive too) Go for a generic domain name instead and always go for a .com if you can. If you must use hyphens within the domain name, that's perfectly ok, just don't go using any more than two, for example: Widgets-For-Sale.com if you cannot get WidgetsForSale.com When choosing a domain name, use one that contains strong keywords or a long tailed keyword (two words or more). Pick your niche, go and do some keyword research, here for example: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Type in your main word into that white box and fill in the Captcha Code, leave all the other settings as they are - click on Get Keyword Ideas. Open up a new tab and go to Google.com Go back to the keyword tool. Scroll down the listings of keywords. You can forget all one word keywords. Look for two or more words together, that fit your niche very well and what you think people might be searching for, to find information pertaining to the niche that you have chosen. You want to find a long tailed keyword that has an absolute minimum of 500 searches per month, the higher this number the better. When you find one, go to your other open tab - Google.com and type in the long tailed keyword exactly as it appears at the keyword tool site, for example: Widgets For Sale - had let's say 1000 searches last month (June), global search volume 5,000 - now at Google type that in, inside inverted commas, like this: "Widgets For Sale" - Click Enter or Search. Notice the blue bar at the top of the results? Cast your eye to the right. Ignore how long the search took, that doesn't matter, it's the other number that you will be interested in. If for example that number is 30,000 - that's excellent. That is the number of other websites competing directly to use that long tailed keyword, you want this number to be below 50,000 - the lower the better. So, in a nutshell, the search numbers you want them to be as high as possible and the competition numbers, you want them to be as low as possible - OK! Now, go to a domain registration company, I prefer Dynadot.com http://Dynadot.com - Dynadot is extremely uncluttered unlike Godaddy and there is no upsell at every stage, the back-end admin area is simplicity itself to use too, unlike GoDaddy. At Dynadot (Free to sign up), type in your found domain name of choice, using no more than 2 hyphens to separate the keywords if you have to. If it is available without the hyphens: WidgetsForSale on the .com and meets the criteria above, snap it up quickly! In other words, register it to your account. When it is registered to your account, set the Nameservers, again at Dynadot, this takes about 5 seconds flat. The domain will take a day or so to propagate. Open up a Hostgator.com http://Hostgator.com account. Install Wordpress on this hosting account. Next pick a free or a paid for premium Wordpress theme for your blog, there are many, many, many thousands to choose from. Upload your chosen theme to your Wordpress.org account and away you go. It sounds complicated perhaps for a complete newbie, but ask questions on this forum any time you get stuck, or use the Search functionality or go to Google.com and type the question in there - (that you are stuck upon) and invariably you will always find an answer to your question/s. It's not anywhere near as hard as you think it might be, and in your case, two heads are always better than one. You'll soon fathom it all out. Wishing you the very best of luck! Kindest regards and best wishes. ![]() Mark Andrews - WordPro | ||

Hi there,
What can I say… I’m shocked. 4 weeks ago I paid £126 for webinar-course with EXACTLY same method of making money online! Roshan, THANK YOU for been so smart and generous!! I’ve learned from you two lessons – First – I must visit WP more often! Second – Great way of making money. So far I’ve spent pretty much time on keyword searching. Every thing’s fine except one – too many ideas, don’t know which one to choose first. Never mind, I’ll manage. I noticed Roshan didn’t visit this thread for while, God bless him, and it seems like we have only one experienced person with us - Mark Andrews. Mark, my questions won’t be difficult for you, hope you don’t mind. 1 – What font did you use for signature in your last post? If I don’t have (Photoshop, Dreamweaver) where and how can I get it? 2 – I understand it’s possible to save WF threads in PDF format. Could remind me how? Thank you in advance, Stillstranger. |

Roshan,
Now that is what I call "butter"!! Value will always be rewarded by even greater value!! I am a strong believer of the sowing and reaping principle. If you sow a seed of value, you will reap a harvest of value. This is the type of information that many are selling in reports and e-books even today! More speed to you my friend! Richard |

Doesn't it cost thousands to get a good sales copy written and a good squeeze page and a descent e-book written? Writing a good sales copy alone can cost from 500$ to 10,000$

Hi guys,
first of all..AMAZING post, it has inspired me like a few others to have their first attempt at IM. I know in Roshan's post he says to PM him about a squeeze page, I tried that but I have not yet put a post on this forum and am unable to send him a PM. So thought to ask here (sorry!! )I think I understand the point of the squeeze page, which is to get someone added to your list without going further into the website. My question is; Do we create a second domain and webpage for the squeeze page that links to the blog? or Do we put the squeeze page on the first page of the blog? I ask this because I was confused, Roshan mentions about linking back the squeeze page alot. If the squeeze page was on the blog could'nt people just click on other tabs and bypass it? Thanks again for the amazing post Roshan, Andy |

Roshan, thank you so much for sharing your strategy. You truly have a gift for teaching.
I won't lie, though; for a newb like me, this is quite a bit of information to absorb. But the good news is you make it sound very doable. And what a coincidence that you used the weight loss niche as the example--I've been looking for a way to profit from 25 weight loss articles I took off of eHow a while back. Looks like this may be my opportunity to finally put those babies to good use.

Roshan,
Awesome post. It was very informative and to the point. It really reminded me of some of the things that I have not been so diligent on in the last couple of months. ( more into ppc lately) I know that this is hard work in the beginning for many people especially the noobs. But I promise that it will pay off ( just don't chase the shiny new things) Don't know if anyone as mentioned this ( i didn't see it and read most of the post, good 30 minutes worth) But when I started I really used youtube and videos. It was a pain to come up with content at times But several of my videos really took off and are even on the front page of Google for a very competitive market ( health and weight loss) . The video gets around 600 views a day. But all that work is now my soldier marketing for me 24/7 for eternity!! I say that just to say not to over look videos. Making them can actually be a creative release and get you away from the computer. Thanks again Roshan... |

I gather you've had a positive experience with GetaFreelancer? How do their prices compare to the likes of elance or articlesforaffiliates.com?? Cheers Darren |
