Default So I've decided to postpone my launch...

Two things:

1.) Life is dictated by the choices we make.

2.) Doing the same things over and over gets the same results.

3.) Work smart, not hard.

Okay I lied, that's three things. So the past couple of months haven't been my best and I've been picking up the pieces from stupid mistakes - whether it be getting out of debt or fixing my relationship, no matter. I picked July 3 as a launch date because I wanted to bring in the money sooner than later. However, I've been getting stressed out by just how much I have left to do. Not only that, but I basically proved to myself that stressing out, living on coffee and 2 hours of sleep a night does NOT produce my best work. The graphics I have on my site now? I made them on a full night's sleep, and I'll tell you right now they beat the HELL out of the first ones.

I redid the sales letter, but it was a rushed job. I couldn't get through some of the parts without snickering at my own sub-par work, which of course is a bad sign. So now I'm redoing it, and taking the time to do it. I didn't even need to take it to the WF to know I could do a lot better - I'm a writer whose works will never be finished.

So! It came down to this:

1.) I could work my ass off, stress, drink Monster drinks (I've graduated from coffee as of late), throw together a website, get a small list of affiliates and have an *okay* launch

- OR -

2.) I could Work Smart, Not Hard, pace myself, get full night's sleep, have an organized step-by-step plan, have more time to get a bigger list and then have a CRAZY launch.

I tend to rush things and skimp details because I just want them done. True, I only expect so much from Ninja Safelist (to me it's more of a viral list-builder), but even a small profit could pay off my debt and then some.

Now I'm off to go put together a "kiss and make up" package for my list so they'll forgive me for putting off the launch. If you'll excuse me...

In all that you do, know your True INTENT...

don't know much abotu your situation, but do you have any other irons in the fire? any other products/sites up and running already?

sometimes that's the biggest hurdle - completing something (Trust me, I know!)

I found the simplest thing to implement was Rusell Brunson's microcontinuity model.

up and running in a couple of hours. love it.

I can't post a link, but here's the gist of it: micro [dot] re-voo [dot] com

I only send you there for the free 52-minuite video that explains it all. you can also claim a free mp3 player, but i guess you already knew that, since it will have been battered on the forum haha
Yeah for whatever reason finishing what you start is easier said than done. I'm getting better about that though - and I remind myself I *did* complete a full-length novel when I was 12 (unpublishable, but I did it!)

I *could* technically pull it off on July 3 still, but that would mean I skimp over details and live on caffeine (as much as I hate sleep, I'm learning to change my mindset - huge impact on my productivity) and therefore not have the big bang I want.

I've been through all the mind-hurdles and overcame them thankfully, now it's just a matter of having a to-do list >.< I'm announcing the change in the morning - I imagine a few subscribers will be pissed and leave me, but the others will get more benefit if I spend a little more time with them. After all - their success is my success.

Hey moneysoap,

I am actually in the midst of my own launch and
I have decided to postpone my as well.

I have been working so damn hard lately I don't even
remember when was the last time I sit down to read a good
book or to enjoy a decent walk with my girl.

I believe what you said is so damn true, that I simply had to click
that "thank you" button

Igor
