Arrow Your Very Own Google Slap!

Alot of Marketers were rolling along making lot's of money and one day....boom! Their ATM machine gets blown up by a new change in the Rules at Google and they have to start all over.

Some marketers were doing just fine on ebay until one day ebay decided to give some major change to its policies and almost put alot of people out of business for good.

But what did the successful marketers do in the long run?

THEY ADAPTED.

That is one of the best rules to follow in your online career and offline too for that matter.

If you really want to succeed, if you really want to distinguish yourself from the rest of the pack then knock the dust off and stop worrying why things didn't work and keep moving.

OK some info is not as fresh as it once was...so what...take what you have and tweak it, combine it with other methods, add more to it, step back and look at things from another angle.

You will find out that when you start thinking more unique than the next guy that you will be making more money than the next guy.

Whether you get slapped by Google, ebay, or you just have to slap yourself.... go ahead....adapt and proceed to the finish line.

Hey honestbiz,

powerful advice there.
It is true, the real successful ones
simply adapt and use the given
circumstances to their advantage.

Yeah Igor, I really understand when people get stuck or they keep spending with no returns. It can really zap your momentum but we have to step back, re-evaluate, and press on.

Very right. I've been working in the technology field for quite some time now, and I've seen so much technician loose their jobs because they didn't take the time to learn the new treads and to adapt to the new technology. In their mind, they could work all their lives with just the information they've learned in school. That's not how it works, you have to constantly improve yourself by getting busy and always being aware of what new in your field. If you love what you are doing, that's not really hard.

Excellent post.

Another way to look at it is to make it your mission to diversify to the point where you're not dependent upon any one resource or method of making money online.

I've tried to keep that in mind over the years and I've ended up with a nice mix of my own products in different niches, some affiliate sites in other niches, and of course, writing for pay to fill in the gaps. Eventually I'll probably ditch the writing for others, but for now it's enjoyable because I'm writing on topics I like (another benefit to being your own boss! )

Maybe it's possible to get richer faster by sticking to just one method but like you pointed out, if that one resource or method takes a nosedive you're in trouble! I'd rather make slower progress - but feel more secure that it will last!

Although I'm relatively new to Internet marketing, I've been a business owner a long time. It's like any business - you have to keep trying new things. Most of your ideas may fail. All it takes is one good one, once in a while.

Thank you for the advice. Kinda remind me of my mom always saying, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket!"

Great advice. You can't have all your
eggs in one basket.

You've got to have more than one income
stream so that if one dries up...you may
be hurt, but you won't be in the poor house.

I thought I heard it this way...

Put all your eggs in one basket and watch that basket!

Glad I never did it though, glad I've been diversified here and in life in general because it sure has come in handy lately

all the more reason to not have all your IM virtual eggs in one basket.

always diversify, and stay up to date with changes so you can be a step ahead.
