The Most Powerful Lessons from Bestselling Books
I'm read a lot of books over my lifetime, and I'm sure most of you do too. Usually I write down the most important information I've learned from each book, so I can browse through them easily and "re-learn" the key principles quickly.
I'd like to invite you to write down a book that has improved your life, and a short list of the most valuable information you've learned. Let me start...
The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari By Robin Sharma
Most powerful lessons I've learned from this book...
1) The Secret to Happiness is this:
"Find out what you truly love to do, then direct all of your energy towards doing it."
2) Questions are the most effective method of getting knowledge.
3) Ten Secrets of Radiant Living:
- Spend 15 to 50 minutes of time for solitude/peace every day.
- Spend at least 5 hours every week to exercise.
- Eat right (fruits, veggies, grains).
- Spend at least 30 minutes of reading every day.
- Get quality sleep. You should only have the most inspiring thoughts before and after you sleep.
- Listen to music.
- Repeat your mantra repeatedly throughout the day.
- Build your character daily.
- Live a simple life. Focus on your priorities.
4) The quality of your life will come down to the quality of your contribution.
5) Never put off important things for your well-being to a later time.
6) Live your children's childhood.
7) Take at least 5 minutes a day practicing gratitude.
Your turn...
