3 Easy Ways to overcome ANALYSIS PARALYSIS

Analysis paralysis: chasing your tail endlessly compiling 'information' regarding a particular opportunity and never getting down to actually acting on the opportunity.

Technique #1: Take baby steps - get started.Start small. Figure out deeper details as you move forward.

Technique #2: Reverse engineer others - learn from the success and mistakes of those who went ahead of you.

Technique #3: Focus on one thing - focus on one thing, do it, figure out what you did right and what needs improvement, come up with tweaks, try again, measure results, pick the best variation and try again.Keep tweaking until you achieve the success you were shooting for.

Very good advice....slow is fast....I am always amazed at how much time I used to waste when I wanted to do all at once...now I just do it bit by bit, always very focused on each task, and get 3000% better results then before!

One other thing to remember if you're getting overwhelmed with information is that not taking any action is worse than taking the wrong action. So just do something, and if it doesn't work, at least you can learn from it and move on. If you keep analyzing and doing nothing, then you don't even have a chance of making progress.

I think the focus on one thing is a key ingredient. Once you gain more experience then a person can branch out and try more than one thing at a time. Doug

When you can find someone who is doing really well with their business, become like a private investigator. See what they are doing. What they are advertising. Look at how they are promoting.

There are a lot of people who are really successful and they do really simple things everyday to have great success. Why not you?

Once you do know what daily actions they are taking, you can do the same and succeed too.

Even if you are taking BABY steps, you are still moving forward in the right direction.

Everyone has posted some GREAT thoughts about this. All of them add to the importance of the #1 thing: TAKE ACTION!

Fear can paralyze and ACTION defeats fear.

Again, anyone else that reads at least what is above this post - PAY ATTENTION, they all added some great value to the topic!

Get one thing done and then take that step again.

Consciously brush aside any other concerns.

        Do what's in your power.

Refuse to deal with what's not

Never look for a way out of any anxious condition. Look instead for a way to see through it.

Focus on a solution, instead of the problem.

It is possible to do one thing at a time.

And is possible to successfully complete one thing at time,

and to do that one thing to very best of ability.

Then ... move to next task on hand: "task" number two.

And so on until all is done.

I just say as Nike says "Just Do IT". You learn from taking action, experience is the best teacher. If you are smart enough you will learn from other peoples experience as well, but unless you get in the game, you will always be stuck analyzing and not getting anywhere. Learn it, take action, make mistakes, keep moving forward.

    I'll add to this.

I believe in the 3:1 rule.

3 hours applying for every 1 hour of study.

This will help retain information fast and avoid feeling overwhelmed. You have to discipline yourself to stick to this rule.

Makes sense. Kind of flows from the 80/20 rule. 20% of what you do accounts for 80% of your results.
