PROCRASTINATION KILLS
...don't get me wrong, it can be done - but it is SUPER hard - because you begin procrastinating about procrastinating!
The best thing to do is to become AWARE of the negative pattern and replace it with a positive habit that will give you just as good, if not better results both mentally and on an 'action' level.
The funny thing is - the hardest part of procrastination is ALWAYS the beginning - but once you begin to LET GO of that thought, or whatever it is that's holding you back...
...you'll forget what the hell it was you were procrastinating about - and go ahead and do what you were going to do!
This is because you're not 'fighting' or 'resisting' the urge - which in essence is identifying with the thoughts in your mind...
...instead, your letting go of those thoughts - being the space to absorb that - and as Eckhart Tolle would say, 'the antibodies will begin to dissolve'.
You just have to trust the process - and begin to become AWARE of when you're about to/are procrastinating - then you can replace that negative pattern with a positive one.
Don't fight it - just let go.
And you'll noticed you forget what you were procrastinating about!
That is just one of the ways of doing it - another is through action - I'll probably write up a post about that sometime this week.
