What's the best life decision you made and how did you get to that point?

Mine was probably taking up meditation as a serious practice and reading more often.

I see how staying in the present moment as often as possible, and being able to make clear decisions with new knowledge I am gaining on a daily basis, is improving my inner state of mind enormously.

I am interesting how I will look back on those decisions 10 years from now.

What's yours?

The best life decision I have made and will continue to make is " how good do I feel about my now" and that is always an ongoing thing as well as changeable. Life is always happening and will continue to happen so be happy as you can where you are or rather feel as good as you can where you are. If I feel angry then in time feeling less angry is improvement. But I am not angry all the time it is fleeting and often rare. I do thought make a conscious decision to have more fun and not be so serious....it serves me well...it is actually how the universe responds best to you......

Taking up the design to live consciously, plan the goal of the life consciously and consciously face my fears which prevented me from being happy.

I also read the books and meditate but ... books are very valuable to give the ideas but then I shall take the action to put these ideas to life. Meditation and other practices are very valuable, they give the correct mood but ... then I use this mood to take actions. And to take actions first I established the goals of life (with the help of books and meditation and contemplation) so that's why I put the goals planning and conscious living first. But only after having looked at my fears I could formulate these goals, so perhaps I should put conscious dealing with fears as the first best life decision.

I've decided to quite smoking. Its been a year since then. It was tough because it was addicting. I made this decision because I want to be healthier not just for myself, but for my family as well. Whats the use of working so hard when all your hard work would one day all go to the medical expenses that you could have prevented long ago?

  • The best decision I made in my life is to stop caring what everybody else thinks and just do what I want to do, what feels like for me. I'm not going to make everybody happy so I might as well make myself happy.

Turns out, the world isn't going to end if I don't try to please everybody and I don't have to compromise on everything. I get more done now because focusing on what's good for me gives me direction.

The best decision I took was to write a game development book. That earned me my first dollar online.

To Don't do anything anyone else did. Stay my own person. Let go of my anger and negative energy, thus reconnecting with my spritual self. Believing in myself, staying on the correct path, overcome anything that would come my way ( negative). Focus on my prize ( my daughter ). Be the best dad I can be for her and myself. Be a dad she can respect. Be healthy spritually, mentally and physcially strong to the best way I can. Don't be distracted and put any energy into anything thats not important..( example...stupid stuff my ex wife did, my father did, etc )..My daughter was more important, so that stuff did not concern me. I kept my kid safe and thats all that mattered. I got rid of that negative thoughts, people around me, espically for my kid. I am not perfect of course, but everyday do what I can to be so.

Its interesting and so true how one directs their energy to anything and they will get it. You give negative energy to people and they get stronger. Don't give them any fire. Then sooner or later they know they cannot get to you and will stop and things might even get more postive for you and everyone around you. Everything is energy. The more life throws at you, harder you hit back, then sooner or later, life will decide not to mess with you anymore )..
