Don't make money by the hour, do it by the minute! Mindset...

Just sitting here thinking about traditional employment and the whole "£10 p/h" wage structure....

Which got me thinking, I'm self employed, I don't get paid by anyone but my customers.

It's currently 2:30pm where I am in the UK, what have I done to get paid?

Rather than being in a "hours" mindset, I'm looking at every minute that I spend doing nothing as money wasted.

And investing my time in immediate and non immediate money - IE sales and R&D respectfully.

With that in mind, how do you plan your day to be productive? I find it very easy to let the minutes and thus hours slip by!

Looking back now, a good 6-7 hours today I haven't used to make any money!

Do you timetable your entire week and day? - even hours? My most successful entrepreneur I have worked with Nigel Botterill whom I worked closely with at his HQ would plan even replying to emails during a certain time frame!

The discipline I think does indeed help success.

I'm 30 years old now, and we're talking about minutes and hours.... How about wasted years? I haven't used the 10-12 years of my working life to become the successful millionaire I wished.

Dz this is a Mindset Forum post

But I'd say that as within, so without. Cultivating your prosperity consciousness AWAY from the computer, in quiet, will help you spend time effectively and in a prospering fashion whether you're working or playing.

    Keep on thinking abundance!

it can be very hard to keep ones self motivated to stick to your screen and and keyboard when it can seem like life is going on by without you.. Don't think I could be in this area if it wasn't possible to create passive incomes from my work which will actually allow me to retire far earlier than most.

I believe in a different mindset. As an employee, you have the "money for time" mindset.

However, internet marketing is all about providing value. My customers don't care how much time I spend on optimizing a business or creating a course. What they care about is how much value I provide. So what's important is constantly asking yourself "Am I providing the most value possible?"

    Cheers,
