I believe that patience and consistency are two of the most important concepts to keep in your mind when working on anything. Whether its your business or a weight loss goal, patience and consistency are key!

Besides patience and consistency, what other concepts or rules of thumb do you think are most powerful when it comes to completing goals and earning success?
#consistency #patience #power

I agree completely. Sometimes we want everything fast, everyone does. I apply everything to gym training - I've been training for 5 years. When people see me they think if they can train with me they will get ripped in 2-3 months.

I see so many people start motivated - they drop out after 2-3 months coz they see no results and look at other people and compare themselves.

So to your 2 things you wrote - I would add another rule as in, "Not to compare yourself with others"

I use a term that I call projection. I borrowed the idea from a Les Brown seminar.

It basically means to close your eyes, from time to time, and imagine yourself where you WANT TO BE.

Projection is a great one too - I've seen that same term used in different ways by nearly every recognized motivational speaker

Yes those are 2 very important aspects. But when you say Patience, I think that word can get a little misunderstood. If we are too patient, we could get lazy or not give it all that we got. Patience is a great thing to have because nothing great will happen quick but you also have to some form of urgency in order to get outta bed everyday and work towards your vision.

    Agree?

Flexibility. Sometimes things don't work out as we planned, so we need to be able to adjust and keep moving forward!

Before I go to sleep, or just when Im about to finish work, I creat a list of stuff which I should be doing the next day and give them priorities, after that I see if I can delegate any of those tasks.

The next day I start with the priorities and shut myself out of the world until top priority tasks are done.

The skill to break up massive tasks in actionable chunks, and set a plan for those chunks is also a big help to reach your goal.

My desire to succeed and come out on top everyday gets to the point where sometimes I feel that I might be delusional. Then I realize that's exactly the sign that Im doing it right. I find comfort in being uncomfortable. When I sense that I'm getting too comfortable, like I'm just settling in, that's when I start getting antsy!

I like your question AYCE. The answers of others too.

Patience, Consistency, Projection, Flexibility, Discipline and the others. When put together, they make a hell of a Swiss knife… for achievers.

Still, someone can have the best tool kit in his back pocket or skill set in the back of his mind, what will that person make of it? That’s why, having a Clear vision is important. Clear vision of what goal you want to reach. Of the problem you want to solve or help solve.

Just like any good compass, it can help you find your way (towards that goal you have). Wherever you are, whatever situation you’re in.
