Perseverance Is The Key

I like to point out that Rome wasn't built in a day, but that every day you can bet they placed a brick. This kind of outlook is so important when developing your own business. Taking too many actions at once could mean you're placing yourself at risk of sloppy content or ill-advised decision making, while taking too little might bore your visitors and keep your marketing efforts at bay.

There Is A Middle Way

Balance. Perseverance. These are words we often tell ourselves we have in spades, but do we really? Are we really committed to building ourselves, our business, and our fortunes? How easy is it to procrastinate and say, "I'll write that blog post tomorrow." "I'll start the ad campaign next month." "I'm not getting any visitors to my site, so I'll work on web design later." Procrastination is the root of all evil when it comes to business management and financial success.

You must work every day towards your goals.

I take this advice to heart with my own internet marketing business. Each day I:
  • Read a piece of Inspiration that will help me get through my day.
  • Write a blog post for immediate publishing or to help my queue.
  • Visit popular blogs, comment where I can, and share my own site.
  • Try to share my business with at least five new people.

These are by no means "big and wild" goals. I know that I won't make a fortune after taking these steps. What I do know is that slow and steady wins the race. The more consistently I place blog posts, the more exposure my website will receive and the more time people will want to spend on it. The more I can inspire myself to do better, the more I'm certain I will. Sharing my business has to become completely natural to me - and to you - and doing this ensures that new guests keep coming back. After awhile, these incremental steps cannot help but give back in the form of customer traffic, visibility, and success.

Don't EVER Be Discouraged

I'm also fond of the saying, "Don't quit before the miracle happens." If the most successful business moguls of our time stopped what they were doing a moment too soon, they wouldn't be business moguls today. If we allow ourselves to be discouraged by what we have or haven't done, how fast or slow we perceive our work to be, or all the many different "worries" that can cause a business to fail, well... we'll fail! We must believe in ourselves and in our goals. There's no room for doubt that what we hope to achieve will happen for us - that's what makes business such a powerful movement for personal profit and success. Just keep swimming, and you'll make it.

It just takes time.

Perseverance is key. Yes I agree. Perseverance is a required trait for anyone who wants to successfully achieve their goals. The ability to keep going when times get difficult, is so important.

There will be obstacles placed in front of any goal that is worth achieving. So, it's best to accept the fact that success is a result of overcoming the odds instead running away from adversity.

well if you go into the history of rome and how it was built ..hordes of captured slave and wealth taken from those who where captured and ended up dead or slaves ..building rome ,

fruit trees when planted right can take a few years to grow and produce fruit ..

nut trees can take five to ten years before some produce a good yield but then can produce nut every year for hundreds of years ..

bamboo can take 10 years before it produces timber that can be used for lumber ..but will produce ever year for 100 years ..

many successfull people took 5-8 years of working 2 to three jobs ..and maybe one or multiple business failures and bankruptcies ..before breaking through and gaining full momentum ..

tiger wood i thing his father hung golf clubs above his crib ..

many billionaires where teenagers when they started on their path..bill gates had his 10000 hours of computers ..before most people in the western world knew what a computer was .

everything you will do ..that is worth doing has a starting point where you may not be that good at it then over time you build skill after skill .

when you know the expected path of progress ..perseverance is a must

Yeah I'm a firm believer that if you get back up after every failure. Change your approach and take action again. You HAVE to succeed.

Thank you for this post! I believe in perseverance. Success comes to those who wait. Success is not something that happens in an instant. I believe that taking slow and steady steps is better that waiting for luck.

Persistence is the KEY to your long term success but having an effective strategy is as important.

You have got to have a plan in place that works. If your plan is not the right one and you are persistent, you will not get anywhere.

If you are running east and looking for a sunset, you got a plan that will not work. You got the have an effective strategy in place.
