Accountability buddies

Hey everyone! I don't usually look through this thread but ever since I have, I've noticed a lot of people asking for help and motivation tips. So here I am, sharing with you something that I've used to make myself get up and GO!

Being a solopreneur really sucks for the reason that it really is "solo." Motivating yourself, breaking habits and squeezing in time to do what you say you WANT to do.

My first tip: It's something that is said by a lot of successful entrepreneurs and that is to have a LASER FOCUS. List down everything that you want to accomplish and HOW you're going to accomplish it. Break it down. Don't be the guy who hops on their computer with no plan. Browsing around trying to figure out WHAT to do. Be the guy with a PLAN and an INTENT to execute it!

My second tip: This has really worked for me and I've been introduced to it by a professor at a university. Make a list and swap it with a buddy. Not just anyone, though, someone who is in the same position as you are but wanting to achieve something along the lines of what you want.

Example: You want to create a forum. Find someone else who also wants to create a forum. Create to-do lists, and swap them with each other. Each week, set some time aside to chat about progress.

You can find someone in your position all over this forum! You're welcome to use this thread as well to find an accountability buddy.

Anyway, that's it. Feel free to add to this or speak on your own experience.

A really useful tool that's free to use is Evernote. It's a note-taking/list-making tool that has the ability to share! Be sure to check it out!

PS: This in no way a form of undermining coaching. I do recommend coaching, but this is just a free/easy way to keep yourself on task. You can also use this to find like-minded friends or future business partners!
