Forgot about motivation. Take action whether you feel like it or not

Discipline is both the cause and the effect, in different circumstances.

I've met many highly motivated people who accomplished nothing. Usually it was because they were so excited that they took action but didn't do proper research or planning.

I believe that they should work together. One without the other is pretty useless. You need motivation to stay disciplined and vice versa. i think its just a matter of using both to its maximum effect.

I love Elliot H. The question for anyone is......Why do you continue to take action when not motivated if you have no belief that your goal will be reached?

Discipline IS better than motivation, but motivation is so much EASIER! ALSO, motivation often shows that there is something that can be a good product or service! DISCIPLINE, if over used, may have you spin your wheels on something NOBODY wants!

BTW Elliot is a good teacher, etc... I love it. In the context HE is talking about, the idea of getting better, watching people that work so hard to get you to PERSONALIZE THEIR zeal(Which may even all be an act), and deciding to do something for YOURSELF IS something where you need discipline, to keep it up. IMAGINE where we would be if we were so disciplined as to keep that up. Elliot built his LIFE around physical fitness apparently. And it is easy to have the motivation there. He has a gym, friends, courses, and customers that are all helped by his keeping it up. STILL, even he isn't as disciplined as he COULD be. As I said, motivation is easier!

Great topic. Mastery of self can be a little difficult. Self discipline is like a muscle you build. I used to have very little until i started pushing myself further and further.

I've been following Elliot Hulse for years, and he speaks the truth.

Motivation will get you started, but discipline is what will keep you going and get results.

Both of them are important. You need motivation to keep yourself disciplined. I believe no one will be disciplined enough without motivation to back it up.

Great video ! This is absolutely true. Motivation is an emotional state, that is changing... to develop the discipline takes a long time, but the act regardless of the emotions. It's very important. Thanks for this video !

I think, discipline is greater than motivation. without discipline we can not achieve goal, and if Goal is not achieved we will not get motivated.
