You Can Learn Something From Everything

"You Can Learn Something
From Everything ..."

No matter what "challenging" circumstances you're
facing in life ... You can always learn something from what's
happening that will make you into a more successful person.

For instance dealing with Schizophrenia has rejuvenated my
"relationship" with God, taught me how much I love my family,
strengthened my will and resolve, put me on a Personal
Development path, deepened my character, and made me
appreciate being "born again."

And it's not just the more significant troubles you're
facing that you can learn from
...You can learn something
from everything in your life. At the moment you probably
don’t truly understand what I'm talking about. There's a
difference between knowing the path and walking the path.
However by thinking about this concept is a good start.

Relationships especially are something you can learn a lot
from: Those people in your life that annoy and irritate you can
teach you valuable lessons including ... Tolerance, patience,
forgiveness, and acceptance.

Something many people are fearful of is "failure." However

you can learn some amazing lessons from it. As Napoleon
Hill said: "Evert adversity, every failure, and every
heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater
benefit." And that's not some kind of "feel good" self help
advice, it's a wonderful fact of life.

Although I have experienced my fair share of suffering

these past 10 years, I wouldn't change anything because I
have learned so much. In fact I once said: Suffering is a
blessing in disguise ... Because the more you suffer, the
deeper grows your character, and the more loving and
compassionate you become.

So remember no matter what is happening in your life, you can
learn something from everything.

I agree with you. I believe that we learn something new everyday. Ourselves today is different to ourselves from yesterday and tomorrow because a long the way we will learn something new and be a better person. We learn from mistakes, wrong decisions and failures but we also learn from our success, wins and right decisions. It all comes down to how we take it all in.

Every aspect of out lives can bring something to learn. We all learn from every little decisions, mistakes, and experiences that we gain. In the end what matters is actually learning from it or not. People should move forward bringing all the learnings we gained. Thank you for sharing this!

Indeed everything has a lesson, even those seemingly bad situations can tell us something good. And even in those unfortunate circumstances lies an opportunity and blessings in disguise. I often say to myself whenever I am in a bad situation like having a car trouble during an important appointment, that there’s a plan why it happens. Perhaps something bad will happen on the road ahead that’s why I am being delayed. When I fail with something, I say to myself that there’s going to be another way to win. This is my way of pacifying the situation so I can avoid bad moods or impatience.

I agree with you. Indeed we learn something from everything. There will be differences with how people absorb all the learning but but by the end of the day its still the end result of learning from something. For example, Person A and Person be will be presented with the same exact situation, they will tackle it differently, they will solve it differently, they will learn different things as well, but by the end of it, ask both of them if they learned anything and they will both say yes.

Thanks for sharing Jonathan. I am guessing you are the one with schizophrenia and not a family member? I can't imagine the internal struggle of knowing you have a life challenge like this and not really being able to fully control it. I second that God certainly has a purpose in your life, and will use something that humans would see as a weakness, and turn in into an opportunity to increase his glory.

Good for you and all those that you continue to touch with your story!

    Take care and keep inspiring,

Hey thanks Andy. : ) Yeah it's me that has Schizophrenia.

Sometimes I couldn't control what was happening (and have been in Hospital 4 times) however I could always control my response and "attitude" to what was happening.

It's been really difficult however it's all been worth it. : )

Nicely put: That's exactly what I learned from Rick Warren: ("The Purpose Driven Life.") If you have a moment, check it out on Amazon, I think you may like it.

This is a reminder that we all need from time-to-time. When we're in the moment of a struggle or a failure it can be hard to see any good, but somehow, those failures and struggles we go through shape us into the people we need to be in order to achieve success.

So true about the fear of failure. Leading many people not to take action to change their current situations.Which only means that they continue to live lives of despair
