"Chase the vision, not the money..."

"Chase the vision, not the money; the money will end up following you." is simply a powerful quote by Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, which is a big, very big online shoe company that I've purchased several shoes from before.

You might have seen this quote somewhere before but it touches my soul every time I read it because it simply tells you that chasing money shouldn't be the primary goal.

Yes, of course making money is what we're all in this for but, the vision should be the primary goal. Not just any kind of vision, but a vision that is insightful, full of incredible value, and maybe the most important goal of that vision should be to solve a problem, any kind of problem. Oh, and forget the maybe, solving a problem is the most important goal of that vision.

The thing is, their are a countless number of problems in todays world that are always looking to be solve. Regular people, just like you and I, are searching for solutions every single day.

The vision that you have should be genuinely looking to solve a problem for a targeted market, easily. Focus on helping, rather than selling.

And the money will eventually be chasing you.

Stay discipline and persistent. Every vision has dark obstacles but with a "succeed at all costs" attitude, you will see the light. That light will be money.

Basically, create a profitable, problem-solving vision, chase it, never give up, and you will see the light($$$).

One last bonus tip that I'll add is to chase a vision that you are super passionate about. It's easier and more fun to solve a problem that way.

To sum this up, I hope this helps you in the long run. That's all I want to do is help you take even the tiniest step forward if I can. This is one the main quotes that I follow each and every day and it has helped me to stick to a plan.

Do you have a particular quote that keeps you going everyday? That is thought-provoking? Inspiring? Please share if you do, we all need inspiration, I know I do.

Very well said, some people are too busy making money and doing everything they can to make money that sometimes they forgot to take a break and live a little. I’m not saying that we should not work and make money; after all you cannot live in this world by just vision alone. But don’t slave yourself in the idea that money is the most important thing. If you have vision and the thirst to make a difference or change your life and empower others then it’s more important. Money will come as a reward in doing something worthy.

The importance of chasing your passion, is that because it generally something you love, it'll be difficult to quit and you'll stay the course.

If you do something you're not passionate about however, then you're going to come across hurdles that'll frustrate you and give you hardship, in which you will then quit. Without the consistency, there is no success.

I actually did a brief article about this topic a few week ago.
