Trying one more time is only good if what we try is different, in some way, than the first time if the first time resulted in failure or loss. Trying one more time doing the same wrong things over and over and over isn't very smart.

There is no use in giving up if your ultimate goal is to succeed. My personal mantra in life is “try again, fail again…try harder. Although it can be frustrating to fail in those pet projects it’s still worth it to try again, past failures can be used to make better decisions and see things in a different light. I suggest never to stop trying and never to stop learning, even from failures and past mistakes, there are lessons that we need to understand.

Don't ever give up. Actually you don't have to. If you are exhausted, just take a break. As much time as you need. You are not obliged to work hard every second of your life.

As for success, try looking at new ideas from what is called "the second position" aka customer's point of view. Not what you think is a next cool thing. What people ask for and (ideally) still don't get enough of.

It is like playing a sport.
Sometimes you win and sometimes lose.
However we should learn our mistakes with each failure.
Avoiding the same mistakes will be helpful in the future.

I honestly believe that getting a mentor is a real time saver and in the long run a money saver too.Learning from someone that has already had success and will teach you and stick with you until you are a success gets you over the hump and makes you make a plan. With a plan...you succeed.

    Persistence. That's the key.

I suggest to take some time off and rethink your approach. There's definitely something wrong with it after so many years without success.

    Cheers,

      Hi nksurf,

There is no point in giving up. I mean it.

Let me give you an example. There is a couple without kid. It's been 5 years now that they have been married. Now, they are frustrated and feel bad since they wanted kid and they do not have one. Do you think this couple will give up?
DEFINITELY NO! They will visit another gynecologist. They will keep on trying till they succeed.

This is Life. All of us are going to die one day Why can't you live the way we want?

It's just one life, LIVE IT. I know it's easier said than done.

Please change your strategy. Forget the bad and just start fresh.

      Thanks,
      Ramyashree

Sometimes you need to give up when it comes to certain areas at which you are having continuous failures even after trying different approaches. But when it comes to the bigger scale there is always something worth grinding for, thing aren't that exact and linear, different things suit different people...

As long as you understand that you will fail again and to succeed is to try again, over and over.

You are likely to fail 98% of the time but that 2% of winning makes up for that 10 fold.

Go a step further, take the word TRY out of your vocabulary, there is no commitment or clarity behind it. Where on your journey have you failed? What habits/skills must you develop to ensure alignment with your goals and therefore gain certainty in achieving them?
