For whatever reason there will be people in your life that don't believe in your dream of being successful online.

Sometimes they're well-meaning and other times they're not. Whatever the reason for their doubt, don't let it bother you. Unless you're expecting to be a Billionaire you can certainly be successful online. In fact I think anyone can be a Millionaire with the right mindset, beliefs, actions, and business.

However if you don't 100% believe that for yourself I have a couple of suggestions that I hope you will find helpful:

1. Consider programming your mind with "Empowering Affirmations." Something like "I can accomplish anything I set my mind to" would be a good start.

2. Consider working on your self-esteem (if you think it could be improved). People with high self-esteem believe in themselves more than people with low self-esteem. There's some great books on the subject so consider searching Amazon.com.

3. Consider surrounding yourself with positive, like-minded people. As the old saying goes: "You become the kind of person you surround yourself with." All of the greatest people in history were doubted at some point. It's just part of the process.

4. Take action on your ideas. The more you take action (especially when you're not 100% certain if something will work), the more you grow in "confidence" and "belief" when you see results from your efforts.

Good luck. : )

    Nice post.

I agree. Believing in yourself is one of the most important steps in achieving any goals. When you don't believe in yourself and your abilities. You will not be motivated to take action. Because you will be afraid of failure. This is one of the main reasons why people procrastinate.

    Cheers,

I've had my fair share of people who told me "playing on the computer" is not a real job. Good thing I was already convinced it's work and not play, otherwise I probably wouldn't even be here right now.

Exactly! I spent a good part of my teenage days in front of the computer since I was not very outgoing. Is spent the time learning about all the kinds of different stuff and I'm so glad that all that ''wasted'' time is paying off now.

Exactly this is how it should be otherwise, we end up with nothing. If I may add on item #1, it's important to consider this formula:

Positive Mindset + Positive Action = Positive Result
Negative Mindset + Negative Action = Negative Result

True, we need to have the right mindset...

I like your item No 4 - Taken action........

By taking action you test your belief, when the action doesn't work reconfirm your belief and take some more action. By continuing this pattern you will arrive.....

    Jonathan,

One of the most profound and uplifting pieces comes from the great 20th century British Philosopher Ozzy Osbourne with help from Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley....

    ==================================================

    Believer

Watching the time go and feeling belief grow
    Rise above the obstacles

People beseech me but they'll never teach me
Things that I already know (I know)

Dreams that have shattered may not have mattered
    Take another point of view

Doubts will arise though like chasing a rainbow
I can tell a thing or two (That's true)

You've got to believe in yourself or no one
    Will believe in you

Imagination like a bird on the wing
Flying, free for you to use (O.K. baby)

I can't believe they stop and stare
And point their fingers doubting me
    Their disbelief suppresses them
But they're not blind it's just that they won't see

    I'm a believer, I ain't no deceiver
    Mountains move before my eyes

Destiny planned out I don't need no handout
    Speculation of the wise
