Put your data on a map. That will open your eyes. Here is my case. Frankly, over 95% of my sales are in USA, with a tiny amount in Canada and UK versus sales in China and India are zero.

Also, over 50% of my sales are in four of the 50 states - they are California, New York, Texas and Florida. All these have a coast line for some reason. Outside of Chicago, my sales in Illinois are zero. Funny, Chicago is on the water and this is no coincidence says me.

People like to live near water for it has a calming effect on us. In fact, I found that over 80% of my customers are within 20 miles of a coastal region. My sales in places like Nebraska, south dakota, north dakota, and iowa are near zero. I have never sold anything in wyoming - never ever. Blame inland dwellers of being too practical or not liking to spend money. Yet, this is what I see.

At one time, I lived in Florida and would meet face to face with my customers, but not any more. It was just too expensive. I do not sell surf boards, but I do sell web services. Trying to sell to places like Indiana and Ohio was like hitting a brick wall because companies did not believe in the potential of the internet any.

The same ad in miami was a winner. Each place has its own energy. Most people in the middle west do not want to spend any money. They would rather live with less than work more. I depend on four states for the bulk of my sales and Texas is growing faster than California for some reason.
